Follow Nikki's Path and Rescue at Shadow Forest

Talk to Nikki's Manager

In Termina (Another World), board the Magical Dreamer's boat and talk to Nikki's manager and Miki.

Miki will tell you worriedly that Nikki set off to Shadow Forest alone and has not come back since. She asks that you find him and bring him back to Termina.

Find Nikki at the Shadow Forest

After arriving at the Shadow Forest, move west until the party encounters Nikki talking to an orb-like animal. After talking to it, he will then move further west.

Rescue Nikki from the Cassowaries

Once Serge and his party catches up to Nikki, they find him surrounded by Cassowaries. Engage and defeat them in battle. After, Nikki will go inside the cave found south.
How to Beat Cassowaries

Enter the Cave

Enter the same cave Nikki went inside and talk to him. After talking to him for a bit he will ask to join your band. Agree and he joins your party.

Note that recruiting Nikki will lock you out of Guile and Pierre, so be sure to choose wisely!

How to Unlock Nikki Level 7 Tech Skill

Bring Nikki To Meet Nikki's Homeworld Version

After regaining Nikki back to your party, bring him to meet his Home World's counterpart in S.S. Zelbess. They'll proceed to jam and another world's Nikki will learn the Demi-human's song.

Requires The Completion of Marbule Sidequest

Without learning the Demi-human song, the event becomes impossible to complete. Make sure to complete the Marbule sidequest to be able to learn Nikki's Level 7 Tech Skill.

Nikki Story Explained

Early Childhood

Nikki is a singer for the musical group, Magical Dreamers. His parents are Fargo and Zelbess, though he is now estranged from his father since the death of his mother and Fargo's fallout with General Viper.

Magical Dreamers

While growing up he found his passion for music. Meeting Miki also encouraged him to form a musical group. While they struggled at first, meeting Lucca inspired him to change ther group's name into, Magical Dreamers. From there he and his group became immensely popular performing songs and staging concerts across El Nido.

Fame and Meeting Serge

Magical Dreamers where set to perform in the Viper Festival in Termina (Another World). Right before the festival, Nikki meets Serge and helps him infiltrate Viper Manor (Another World). After the events in Viper Manor, Nikki sticks with the party, helping them in battle.
