Another of the Protagonist's classmates, next to Yukari. He awakens to his Persona abilities shortly after the Protagonist transfers into the school, prompting him to join the rest of SEES in the Iwatodai Dorm. Quite the class clown, he's always ready to joke around and lighten the mood... which isn't always appreciated by the eye-rolling Yukari.

Junpei's Role in Combat

In battle, he uses a two-handed sword along with his unique Persona, Hermes. He specializes in physical and fire skills.

Connection to Chidori Yoshino

Junpei develops an interest in Chidori, a member of Strega. This creates a conflict of interest for Chidori between her allegiance to Strega and her growing affection for Junpei.

Junpei's Persona is Hermes of the Magician Arcana, and has a penchant for Fire and physical attacks.

Evolution - Trismegistus

After maxing out Junpei's Social Link, he undergoes a Second Awakening in which his Persona transforms into a more powerful form that is able to learn more powerful abilities.

Junpei's final Persona is Trismegistus, the combination of Hermes, the messenger of the Greek gods, and the Egyptian god Thoth. This happens after his own Persona, Hermes, merges with Chidori's Medea.

Junpei Theurgy

Theurgies are powerful skills unique to each party member and can turn the tides of battle heavily in your favor. A party member may learn more than one Theurgy skill.

Hack n' Blast

Junpei goes into a slashing frenzy and deals devastating Slash DMG to a single foe, ignoring whatever defenses they may have against it.

Blaze of Life

Junpei calls upon his Persona to deal extreme Fire DMG to one enemy and ignores any defense they may have against it. After the attack, his HP will be restored to full.

Theurgy Skills Guide

Junpei Characteristics

Junpei's Characteristics take advantage of his innately high Luck and center around his Critical Hit Rate.

Characteristic: Critical Boost

Junpei's attack will score critical hits more likely and deal significantly more DMG.

All Team Characteristics

How to Start Junpei's Social Link

Only Available for the Female Protagonist in P3P

You can only start Junpei's Social Link if you chose the female protagonist in Persona 3 Portable. If you chose the male protagonist, the Magician Social Link will be Kenji Tomochika instead.

Since the male Protagonist is the only one in Persona 3 Reload, a Social Link with Junpei is not possible. However, your friendship as well as his character will grow on their own as you progress through the story.

You Cannot Romance Junpei

Junpei is not a romanceable option in Persona 3 Reload. This also applies when choosing the female protagonist in Persona 3 Portable.
