Character | Best Skills | Explanation |
---|---|---|
Protagonist |
・Marakukaja ・Getsu-ei ・Crit Rate Boost |
The Protagonist will focus physical attacks on Hermit with Getsu-ei, which is most powerful during a full moon. Crit Rate Boost will increase chances of crits. Marakukaja will also increase your party's defense, making Hermit's attacks hit less hard. |
Akihiko |
・Diarama ・Tarunda ・Gigantic Fist |
Akihiko resists Electric, so he's perfect for this fight. He can also debuff Hermit's attack with Tarunda and deal heavy Strike damage with Gigantic Fist. |
Ken |
・Mediarama ・Kougaon |
Ken serves as your primary healer since he can cast Mediarama. He can also provide additional damage with the heavy-damage Light skill Kougaon. |
Shinjiro |
・Fatal End |
Shinjiro is your main attacker, as he has no other option than to spam Fatal End until Hermit is defeated. We don't recommend bringing Shinjiro along for future excursions and boss fights, though. |
Persona | Best Skills | Explanation |
---|---|---|
Mothman |
・Agilao ・Megido |
Mothman is a great Persona to use in this battle since it reflects Electric attacks. It is also able to cast Fire and Almighty magic, which Hermit does not block. |
Dakini |
・Getsu-ei ・Crit Rate Boost |
Dakini is a great physical type attacker to deal massive amounts of damage to Hermit with Getsu-ei, a skill that becomes strongest during a full moon. |
King Frost |
・Bufula ・Marakukaja ・Fatal End |
King Frost is a solid choice for an attacker with Ice and physical skills. It can also buff your party's defense with Marakukaja. |
The following tips can help you beat Hermit in battle.
Hermit casts Electric skills exclusively, so keep Yukari and Aigis out of this battle. Bring along Akihiko, who resists Electric damage.
If you have the money to spare, you can equip your party with Thunder Charms to help with Electricity evasion. These can be bought at Officer Kurosawa's store in Paulownia Mall.
To make the fight more manageable, buff yourself with spells like Marakukaja and Matarukaja to boost your attack and defense and debuff Hermit with Tarunda and Rakunda to make it significantly weaker.
It may use Dekaja to remove your buffs but simply reapply the buffs and continue your assault. You can choose to forego buffs, so long as you still debuff Hermit.
Don't use your Theurgy attacks freely. Instead, save your Theurgy for when it starts Initiate Charging, in order to easily interrupt it. If Hermit is allowed to finish Initiate Charging, it will power up significantly, making it deal devastating electric attacks.
If you're out of Theurgy, hit Hermit with at least medium-damage physical and magic skills to stop it from charging up.
Although Hermit cannot be knocked down for All-Out Attacks, you can still inflict critical hits, so use medium-to-high damage physical attacks.
So long as you keep on debuffing, keep on cancelling its charge-up, and keep healing your party with Mediarama, you will eventually take this boss down.
