Since Akihiko and Ken nullify Electricity and Light attacks respectively, use spells outside of those two. Ice is preferred since it has a chance to freeze which you can follow up with Metis so she can Crit with her Physical attacks.
The following tips can help you beat Akihiko in battle.
Kohryu is one of the best personas to use here, especially if you're aiming to play a supporting role to Metis. Kohryu has Mediarahan, which can fully heal the entire team's HP, allowing you to sustain Metis when she uses Akasha Arts or Brave Blade.
Alternatively, you can use Kohryu again as fusion material to get Sandalphon. Sandalphon has higher endurance than Kohryu while also fulfilling a similar role due to the similarities in their kits.
If Akihiko or Ken hits a weakness, they will switch to each other for a boosted offensive attack. Make sure you avoid bringing personas weak to Strike, Electricity, or Light to prevent them from getting extra turns this fight.
Ken will mostly use support moves during this fight, such as Diarahan to heal and Makarakarn to shield his team from your magic damage. He also has access to Revolution, which buffs the whole team's critical rate, allowing Akihiko to land critical hits with his physical moves.
Given this, it's best to prioritize him over Akihiko to not only save time and resources but also prevent Akihiko from becoming a menace to your team.
Akihiko will primarily focus on offense during this fight, often using Ziodyne or a combo of Charge and God's Hand. In addition to his offensive kit, he'll regularly boost his evasion and accuracy with Masukukaja each turn, which not only ensures God's Hand hits but also increases the chances of your moves missing while he's boosted.
This makes it crucial to use moves like Debilitate, Dekaja or Sukunda, or items such as Lagging Sutra or a Dekaja Gem, to remove this buff. If you do, Akihiko will waste another turn reapplying it, which you can exploit to prevent him from attacking continuously, especially if you're looking to charge up Metis.
If you manage to defeat one of the opposing team's members, the remaining character will use their Theurgy. Keep this in mind when you're about to beat one of them so you can prepare accordingly.
They will use their Theurgies as soon as they reach half health. So make sure to prepare for that as well, especially if you're using a strategy that focuses on one unit instead of both.
You can also use your own Theurgy to deal massive damage. For example, The King and I allows you to hit both of them and gives you a chance to freeze both!
If you want to end the fight early, you can use Armageddon as well.
Character | Best Skills |
---|---|
Aigis (MC) |
・Mediarahan ・Brave Blade ・Debilitate |
・You will mostly be playing a healer role in this fight to keep Metis' HP up. Mediarahan is the best course to keep both your HPs topped up. ・Having Debilitate or Marakunda to use would also be beneficial to increase your damage output. ・You can weave in your own Brave Blade or Severe-tier Magic attacks, like Diamond Dust. Prioritize these moves since it can result into a critical hit, or a Frozen state. |
|
Metis |
・Matarukaja ・Brave Blade ・Charge |
・Metis will be dealing most of the damage here with Brave Blade. Using moves like Rebellion or Revolution can increase Metis' chance of hitting a critical hit. ・Metis can also regularly cast Matarukaja to make sure both you and her are outpuitting as much damage as possible, combined with your Debilitate or any debuff you inflict. ・Weaving in a Charge turn for Metis can also be benefitical for dealing massive amounts of damage but it is not a priority. |
Persona | Best Skills |
---|---|
Sandalphon |
・Mediarahan ・Akasha Arts ・Angelic Grace |
・Sandalphon will be your healer most of the time, but he can also use Akasha Arts to help damage Akihiko and Ken. Be wary of Akihiko's Counterstrike as Akasha Arts may reflect back on you. ・Mediarahan will be your bread and butter this fight, to keep both your HPs up. ・If you level up Sandalphon to level 84, he has access to Angelic Grace, which increase evasion against elemental attacks, which helps you dodge Ziodyne, Hamaon or Kougaon |
|
Kohryu |
・Mediarahan ・Akasha Arts ・Null Strike |
・If you're not high level enough to get Sandalphon, Kohryu works just as well. You can fuse a Level 72 Qitian Dasheng with Mishaguji to get a Byakko with Akasha Arts and Null Strike to pass onto Kohryu. ・Just like Sandalphon, Mediarahan will be your bread and butter this fight, to keep both yours and Metis' HPs up. ・As tempting as it is to use Kophryu's Makarakarn or Tetrakarn, try not to as Akihiko will just start repeatedly using Megidolaon. |
