As an alternative, Minato Arisato is the Protagonist's name in the official manga of Persona 3, where his name was explicitly stated throughout the storyline.

Since the game lets you put yourself into the shoes of the Protagonist, you can name the main character with relative freedom. However, do know that Persona 3 Reload is a lengthy game; you may want to think it over before you commit to being called something you may get tired of.
The Protagonist's name does not change anything in the gameplay. However, naming yourself may affect your sense of immersion if you name yourself something overly silly.
Although Persona 3 Reload is a Japanese game, it follows the Western naming convention so you will input your first name then the last name instead of the other way around.
Other characters commonly refer to the Protagonist by his last name, whereas characters close to the main character will refer to him by his first name.
