Koromaru's primary use is to cast Revolution, which greatly increases your critical hit chance for 3 turns, after which he can do regular attacks to try to crit the boss for an All-Out Attack. Koromaru also nullifies Fire damage, which is why he's a good choice for this fight.
Persona 3 Reload - JunpeiJunpei Gigantic Fist

Vehement Idol Recommended Personas

Vehement Idol (Tziah)

Persona Best Skills Explanation
Girimekhala Zan-ei
Cruel Attack
Crit Rate Boost
Girimekhala's Zan-ei gets more powerful closer to a New Moon, while Cruel Attack hits harder on downed enemies. This Persona is a good choice overall for dealing medium damage physical skills with a slight chance of crit.
Dakini Getsu-ei
Fatal End
Crit Rate Boost
Dakini is a great physical attacker with Getsu-ei that gets stronger closer to a full moon and Fatal End, which can inflict Fear. Crit Rate Boost helps increase chances of landing a crit.
Ose Zan-ei
Ose is good during a new moon, as Zan-ei's damage is increased. He also resists the boss' fire attacks.

Vehement Idol (Harabah)

Persona Best Skills Explanation
Quetzalcoatl Bufudyne
Quetzalcoatl is one of the late-game Persona with access to Bufudyne. It also has no weakness to Fire, making it a good Persona to equip during this fight since most Persona with Ice moves are weak to Fire.
Vishnu Bufudyne
Concentrate
Vishnu is also a good choice, but only if you're around the level to unlock him. He also comes with Bufudyne and can even learn Concentrate at higher levels.

How to Beat Vehement Idol

Vehement Idol (Tziah)

The following tips can help you beat Vehement Idol in battle.

  1. Increase Your Critical Hit Chance
  2. Buff Party and Debuff Enemies
  3. Protect Against Fire
  4. Use Theurgy Skills

Increase Your Critical Hit Chance

Inflict Critical Hits
Vehement Idol has no weaknesses so it is recommended to attempt to do critical hits to knock it down for All-Out Attacks.

Revolution, which can be learned by your party member Koromaru, increases your crit rate for all party members for 3 turns. Passive skills like Crit Rate Boost and the Critical Enhancer accessory will also help.

Buff Party and Debuff Enemies

Debuff Boss
Lower the Vehement Idol's stats with skills like Rakunda and Tarunda to decrease its defense and attack power. Likewise, cast buffs on yourself like Matarukaja and Marakukaja to increase your defense and damage dealt to make the fight go by much quicker.

Vehement Idol casts Tarukaja on itself so cancel this out with a Dekaja skill, or simply bring it back down with Tarunda.

Protect Against Fire

Defend Against Fire
Vehement Idol casts Maragion and Megidola. While you can't do much to mitigate Almighty damage aside from Rakukaja spells, you can lessen Fire damage with accessories like Flame Charm or Blaze Earrings.

Use Theurgy Skills

Use Theurgy Attacks
Theurgy skills will help quicken the fight, especially the protagonist's Jack Brothers Theurgy, which has the chance to knock Vehement Idol down for an All-Out Attack.

Fuuka's Theurgy can also help buff your party or even regain some SP, which was lost from fighting the previous boss, Natural Dancer.
Theurgy Skills Guide

Vehement Idol (Harabah)

Vehement Idol (Harabah) Mini-Boss Tips
・Vehement Idol uses heavy Fire attacks and can remove Fire resistance with Null Fire.
・Use Quetzalcoatl to target Vehement Idol's weakness to Ice.
・Be cautious about adding Mitsuru in your team. Both are weak against each other and Mitsuru can take heavy damage from Vehement Idol's Maragidyne.
