Can You Save Shinjiro?
Shinjiro Cannot be Saved
Unlike Persona 3 Portable, Shinjiro cannot be saved in this game. His fate in this game is sealed, even if you complete all of his linked episodes in time. Although, it is still best to complete his linked episodes to explore his character and unlock the ability to fuse a special Persona.
How to Progress Shinjiro's Link Episodes
- Spend Time with Him When He Texts
- Talk to Mitsuru to Ask Shinji to Return
- Interact with Both Characters
- Do Not Give the Note to Mitsuru
- Return the Note the Shinjiro

Spend Time with Him When He Texts
As you progress through the story, he will occassionally ask you to spend time with him when he texts you. With that, make sure to always check your phone at night since these link episodes can disappear if you wait too long.
Talk to Mitsuru to get a Prompt Asking Shinjiro to Return
Eventually, you will come at a point where you need to talk to Mitsuru to get her to ask Shinjiro to go back to school. This will let you start one of his final link episodes.
Interact with Both Characters Until Shinjiro Asks You to Give Mitsuru a Note
Once Mitsuru asks Shinji to return, go back and forth between them until Shinji asks you to give Mitsuru a note. This note indicates his intent to extend his leave of absence from school.
Do Not Give the Note to Mitsuru
While in the student council room, do not give the note to Mitsuru. Instead, hold on to it for now and wait for the scene to end.
Return the Note to Shinjiro to Complete the Link Episodes
After you choose not to give it to Mitsuru, you can return the note to Shinjiro to complete his link episodes. This will let you fuse Hell Biker, a special Persona, after you clean up his room on 10/28.
