Phantom King is weak against Fire and repels both Light and Dark. Bringing Koromaru against this enemy, as well as having access to Inferno will bring this enemy down quickly.

How to Beat Phantom King

Use Inferno against It

Surt and Saturnus can help you greatly against this Monad Boss. Saturnus has access to Inferno and Concentrate innately so if you wish to incrase your damage with Concentrate, bring Saturnus along.

Take Advantage of Idle Moments

Phantom King will not attack every turn it gets. Use these idle turns to heal, debuff and Charge/Concentrate to buff yourselves.

Beware of Phantom Mage's Eigaon and Instakill Spells

Ken might be tricky to bring against Phantom King since it uses a lot of Dark spells, including instakill Mudo spells which makes Ken vulnerable against this enemy. Bring Homunculus against this enemy if you intent to bring Ken along.

Phantom King can be found inside a Monad Door in Empyrean. It's recommended to always take the door on the right to guarantee that this boss will spawn.
