S.E.E.S., the name of the organization that the protagonist joins at the start of the game, is an acronym that stands for the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad. This name is what you'll read and hear in the game dialogue, even in the original games.

Special Extracurricular Execute Sector in the Japanese Version

In the Japanese versions of Persona 3, S.E.E.S. stands for Special Extracurricular Execute Sector instead. The name was likely changed in the English version to make it more grammatically correct.

However, in official art, merch, and in the cutscenes of the English version of Persona 3 Reload, the acronym you'll see is the one from the Japanese version. You'll mostly spot it in closeup shots of the S.E.E.S. armband, where the whole name of the organization is embedded.

The S.E.E.S. is the organization that the main character joins in the Persona 3 games. It is one of the after-school clubs in Gekkoukan High School, and majority of its members are students of the school.

While the club is sponsored by the school and other people see it as a regular club, in actuality, it is actually an organization of Persona users that aim to eliminate the Shadows and destroy the Dark Hour.
