All Characteristics and How to Get

Your party members in Persona 3 Relaod (P3R) can develop passive abilities known as Characteristics. Read on to learn the Characteristics of each S.E.E.S member, what they do, and how to get them!

Member	Characteristics
Protagonist	Weakness Boost ・ Increases damage when striking a foe's weakness. Weakness Amp ・ Greatly increases damage when striking a foe's weakness.
Yukari	Healing Master ・ Reduces the SP cost of recovery skills to 50% of their normal SP cost. Healing Apex ・ Reduces the SP cost of recovery skills to 25% of their normal SP cost.
Junpei	Critical Boost ・ Increases critical rate and increases critical hit strength.
Aigis	Phys Boost ・ Strengthens physical skills. Phys Amp ・ Greatly strengthens physical skills.
Mitsuru	Ailment Burst ・ Increases critical rate on foes with ailments (with Mitsuru in battle). Ailment Surge ・ Greatly increases critical rate on foes with ailments (with Mitsuru in battle).
Akihiko	Buff Boost ・ Increases the effects of buffs on self. Buff Amp ・ Greatly increases the effects of buffs on self.
Fuuka	Weakness Buffer ・ Reduces damage taken when an ally's weakness is struck.
Shinjiro	Auto Bolster ・ Temporarily increases Attack and Defense of self at the start of battle. Auto Heat Riser ・ Temporarily increases all stats of self at the start of battle.
Ken	Spirit Refresh ・ Automatically recover 5 SP each turn in battle.
Koromaru	Auto Sukunda ・ Lowers Accuracy/Evasion of 1 random foe for 3 turns when a battle starts. Auto Masukunda ・ Lowers Accuracy/Evasion of all foes for 3 turns when a battle starts.

How to Get Characteristics

Spend Time with Teammates

To acquire Characteristics, you must spend time with your teammates by doing dorm activities with them. Each party member will prefer two activities to engage in, and doing these activities with them 3 times will unlock and evolve their Characteristics.

It also improves your Social Stats depending on the activity. For example, when Ken watches DVD, he will choose to watch superhero movies, which enhances your Courage.

Protagonist's Characteristics Are Unlocked Via Compendium Completion

To unlock the Protagonists's Characteristics, you have to progress your Persona Compendium completion rate to unlock your characteristics. To unlock each Characteristic, you'll have to reach 30% to get Weakness Boost and 60% to get Weakness Amp.

You can get the Through Thick and Thin achievement when you unlock a companion's combat characteristic.
