Koromaru nulls both Fire and Dark, while having no weaknesses. Use spells like Diamond Dust or Thunder Reign to defeat Koromaru fast.

How to Beat Junpei and Koromaru

The following tips can help you beat Junpei in battle.

Bring Abaddon or Mara to Resist Their Attacks

Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis - Abaddon
Abaddon is the best Persona to bring into this fight. It drains both Junpei and Koromaru's Physical attacks and nullifies all Fire attacks from both.

Additionally, it's best to fuse Abaddon rather than getting it through Shuffle Time since its base kit doesn't come with good skills. This way, you can add more useful skills like Thunder Reign and Shock Boost.

Lucifer and Masakado are also Great Choices

Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis - Masakado
If you prefer higher-level Personas, consider adding Masakado or Lucifer to your team. Both are also great choices since Junpei and Koromaru can't do much to them and come with strong kits that could be useful in this battle.

Defeat Koromaru First

Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis - Koromaru Killing Metis

Junpei and Koromaru will both be offensive threats in this fight, but Koromaru is the bigger threat due to his variety of skills. He can inflict Fear with Evil Smile, use Mudoon for potential instant kills, and deal heavy damage with Maragidyne and Blade of Fury.

Due to this, it's best to prioritize Koromaru first since his skills can pose a significant threat to your team. Junpei can be safely left for last as he only mainly uses Agidyne and Tempest Slash.

Take Advantage of Metis' Support Skills

Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis - Junpei Using Marakukaja
Metis will face some challenges in this fight since Koromaru has Counter, while Junpei resists Slash. However, she's not entirely worthless thanks to her support skills. Her Dekaja can cancel out the opposing team's Marakukaja and Revolution, while her Matarukaja boosts her team's attack.

Junpei and Koromaru Recommended Party

Metis is Still Your Only Other Party Member

Character Best Skills
Persona 3 Reload - Aigis (MC)Aigis (MC) Thunder Reign
Salvation
Akasha Arts
Debilitate
・This time you need to switch between playing a healer role and dealing damage since they can reflect Physical damage with Counter. Salvation is a good choice keep HPs topped up while also removing any pesky status conditions.
・Having Debilitate or Marakunda to use would also be beneficial to increase your damage output.
・You can weave in your own Akasha Arts or Severe-tier Magic attacks, like Thunder Reign. Prioritize these moves since it can result into a critical hit, or a Shocked state.
Persona 3 Reload - MetisMetis Matarukaja
Dekaja
Akasha Arts
Charge
・Metis will be dealing most of the damage here with Akasha Arts. Using moves like Rebellion can increase Metis' chance of hitting a critical hit.
・Metis can also regularly cast Matarukaja to make sure both you and her are outpuitting as much damage as possible, combined with your Debilitate or any debuff you inflict.
・Weaving in a Charge turn for Metis can also be benefitical for dealing massive amounts of damage but it is not a priority.

Junpei and Koromaru Recommended Personas

Abaddon or Mara

Persona Best Skills
Abaddon Thunder Reign
Ailment Boost
Shock Boost
・Amazing Magic attacker that can focus on dealing Shock for you or Metis to Crit her Akasha Arts.
・You can easily get Shock Boost by fusing Thunderbird with Yurlungur to get Thor and fuse that to Odin with Thunder Reign to get the best chance in inflicting Shock. Abaddon naturally gets Ailment Boost so no need to worry about that.
・If you can grind a few levels, get Thor to Level 68 before you fuse it for High Counter and Elec Amp which can help immensely for this build.
Mara Thunder Reign
Ailment Boost
Shock Boost
Insta-Heal
・No need to swap to a Physical Persona compared to Abaddon. But really does the same thing.
・You can easily get Shock Boost by fusing Thunderbird with Succubus to get Mot. and level Kumbhanda up to 67 for Insta-Heal for Koromaru's pesky Fear strats.
・Odin can pass down Thunder Reign and Elec Amp with Melchizedek to get Attis. Finally using Attis, Kumbhanda, Mot, and an Incubus, you can get a Mara with all of these Skills to just breeze through this fight.
