How to Beat Hierophant

The following tips can help you beat Hierophant in battle.

1. Protect Against Light Damage

Protect Against Light Damage

Hierophant uses Makouga, which deals medium Light damage to your party. Principality is a good Persona that nullifies Light damage. Shiisaa resists Light damage as well.

Use Patra to Cure Fear

Yukari's Patra skill can cure Fear, which is inflicted after it uses its Doomsday Doctrine skill. It also helps to have the Protagonist have a Patra skill on hand as well, when Yukari has been afflicted with Fear.

Use Theurgy Attacks

Unleashing your party members' powerful Theurgy Attacks will make the fight go by much faster. Make sure to use it whenever it is available!

Additionally, having your party focus on Physical skills, which take away part of their HP, will encourage Yukari to use healing skills more often, thus speeding up her Theurgy buildup.

Debuff Using Rakunda, Tarunda, and Sukunda

Akihiko's Rakunda, Tarunda and Sukunda skills will lessen Hierophant's attack, defense and accuracy/evasion, making the fight much more manageable.

Use Medium-Damage Attacks

At this point in the game, your team must have learned how to use attacks that deal medium damage, like Agilao, Bufula, Zionga, and Garula, as well as powerful physical skills like Assault Dive and Fatal End. Spam these attacks to deal consistent damage to Hierophant.
