How to Get Thick Hides

Can be Easily Gathered in Restless Shore

New World - Thick Hide Drop

Level 40+ animals in the Restless Shore area will drop Thick Hide when killed and skinned. Players will need a high Tracking & Skinning level in order to skin these creatures.

Note: You will not need any Skinning Luck items or consumables to farm Thick Hide. It is a regular gathered resource from high-level animals.

Easy Gathering Spot Near Settlement

New World - Thick Hide Easy Farm Location

There is an easy place to gather Thick Hide just west of the Restless Shore settlement. It will have Shoreside Bobcats and Sandhoof Elks that drop this type of hide when skinned.

Purchase From Trading Posts

Lastly, if you don’t feel like finding them on your own, Thick Hide can also be purchased from Trading Posts, granted that another player has placed a Sell Order. You can enter the Trading Post and search for this item directly by clicking on SEARCH ITEMS and entering ‘Thick Hide’. For the best deal, be sure to sort by price from Lowest to Highest!
