Black Beacon Chinese Version Enters Maintenance Phase After March 4, 2026
Players to Receive Compensation Rewards as Game Stays Online

Black Beacon will cease updates to its Chinese version after March 4, 2026, according to an official announcement on the game’s website (via machine translation). While the game will no longer receive new content or version updates, its servers will remain online, allowing players to continue accessing previously released content.
After the final gacha pool rotation scheduled for March 5, the game will transition into a maintenance phase with no further content updates planned. To thank players for their support, the developers announced compensation rewards that include 70 Time-Seeking Keys for limited banner pulls, 50 Time-Lost Keys for standard banner pulls, and a 5-star character selection pack.
The developers also outlined post-update plans for the remaining community. The game will continue hosting "Classic Replay" event reruns lasting around 30 days, allowing players to revisit past content. At the start of each event, players will receive additional gratitude rewards via in-game mail, including 10 Time-Seeking Keys and 10 Celestial Fruit · Large.
Black Beacon's Turbulent Launch and Global Shutdown

Black Beacon launched globally on April 10, 2025, positioning itself as a simultaneous international release. Despite early interest, the global version quickly faced technical instability, performance issues, and concerns about content pacing, all of which impacted player retention.
The Chinese version, released shortly after, continued to operate as the primary development branch. As patches rolled out, compensation differences between regions became one of the most heavily discussed topics within the community.

Following launch-related issues, both servers received an official compensation package from the developers. While certain items, such as Lost Time Keys and material rewards, were distributed in higher quantities on the global server, it lacked 20 Time-Seeking Keys and a 5-Star Permanent Character Selection Chest that was granted to the Chinese server.
The disparity, particularly the absence of the 5-Star selector and reduced pull currency, became a key talking point among players and fueled accusations of uneven regional support between servers.
Amid declining momentum, the global server ultimately announced its shutdown on December 31, 2025. The Chinese server later remained as the sole active version before entering maintenance mode on March 4, 2026. For more information about the game, check out our article below!
