As the Season 2 comes near to a close, we're getting previews of what seems to be upcoming characters for either Version 2.8, 2.9, and perhaps even Season 3!
Promeia is a character from Krampus and seems to have a past with Cissia.
Velina and Norma seem to be related to The Champion that will happen during the Main Story in 2.7.
Then, there are the two new mysterious characters: the Pink-Haired Bird Thiren during the 2.7 Teaser and the Hooded Character in The Three-Pronged Pact ZZZ Chronicles.
It's possible that these characters that have special stills during the Livestream will be playable in the future!

Two new Drive Discs will release in 2.7! Bunny in Wonderland works with Defense Characters, while Notes From the Chained seems great for Ice Anomaly Characters that can trigger Abloom.

Teases Likely Next Story Backdrop
Lead Scepter holds up a card with an isolated island, and he mentioned that it will be their next target for ''dominion'', which likely means it will be the next region.
Lead Scepter is also in possession of Youkai and is planning to use the Phaethon Siblings in their plans.
