The First encounter will only cover the use of Ghost Stance since it is a pretty short encounter
Use the Ghost Stance
During your First battle with the Spider in Chapter 2, you will unlock the Ghost Stance. This technique allows you to Kill-Streak 3 enemies, which is highly useful in crowded fights. This will also be helpful in duels, since this allows you to perform 3 unblockable attacks.
Ghost Stance Technique Overview
Prioritize Attacking the Spider
During your First Encounter, prioritize attacking the Spider first to quickly finish the battle. You can step out and kill mobs to recharge your skill bar, then come back to do 3 unblockable attacks to deal major damage.
Stock Up on Charge Before Meeting The Spider
On your second encounter, you can choose to load up on the Ghost Stance skill bar before heading to The Spider's location. This will allow you 3 unblockable attacks at the start of the battle.
Unlock the Disarm Counter Technique
The Disarm Counter technique will allow you to Disarm The Spider whenever he performs a yellow glint attack, making him drop his weapon. The moment this happens, switch over to the Dual Katana and deliver a series of quick attacks to maximize the damage given.
Use Ginji's Guard Armor
Use Ginji's Guard Armor to protect yourself from The Spider's Guin Attacks. The Spider often ends his attacks with quickfire gun shots. Take advantage of this armor to block these attacks.

Keep Close to Avoid Gun Fire
Try not to keep your distance when fighting the Snake. If you go too far will be quick to shoot you multiple times, dealing massive damage. Keep an eye on Red Glint Attacks and dodge the shot when you can by strafing or rolling away.
Avoid His Kick and Disarm Combo
The Spider will charge at you with a kick to stagger you and a follow-up yellow glint attack to disarm. If you have the Disarm Counter technique, block his kick and charge up a heavy attack to disarm him instead.
He Will Switch to a Spear if you Disarm Him
After disarming him, quickly switch to the Dual Katana. This will allow you to deliver quick attacks and defend against his sub-weapon, the spear.
Dodge His Upward Slash and Shot Attack
Another combo that he does is the upward slash to blind you with mud quickly followed by a quickfire of his Tanzutsu. Make sure to dodge the initial upward slash and interrupt the red glint attack that follows to avoid the gunshot.
Interupt His Triple Slash Combo
Another powerful move from the Snake is his triple slash combo. If you are confident in your skill to parry attacks, then parry the incoming 3 slashes; if not, then try to avoid the attacks altogether.
The Spider Location
First Encounter in the Tamura Estate Guest House
This encounter will happen during Chapter 2 in The Saito Brothers questline, infiltrate the Tamura Estate, and interrupt The Spiders' play to capture him. This will be a short encounter.
Second Encounter in the Ohara Plains Burial Site
The second encounter and the real boss fight will occur in Chapter 3's Call of the Hunt. After speaking with Hanbei, go to Tokachi Range and wait at the Ohara Plains Burial Site for The Spider.
The Spider Rewards
Onryo Armor Upgrade on the First Encounter
After the cutscene, you will receive an Onryo Armor Upgrade. Your current Onryo Armor level will be 5.

| Weapons |  Katana The trademark curved single-edged blade of the Japanese. The katana is an all-rounder melee weapon that can be used in general situations and is best used against sword-wielding enemies. Its moveset focuses on precise and fluid slashes.  Yari The Yari are traditional straight-headed spears that allow having longer reach during combat. They excel at dealing with sickle-wielding enemies. Its moveset focuses on swift sweeps, lethal stabs, and elevating yourself with the shaft.  Tanzutsu The Tanzutsu is a small firearm best used for situations you need to quickly deal a burst of damage without much trouble. However, you will need to reload after firing once!
