In Ghost of Yotei, a new disarm mechanic allows certain attacks to render combatants weaponless. You can even pick up the weapon and throw it at them for a quick instakill. Read on to learn how to disarm, and what to do with a disarmed weapon!

Though you'll need to obtain Disarm Counter first, you can disarm an enemy without waiting for a yellow glint by taking the Onryo's Strike in the Growth tab, though it will take 3 spirit per strike. Charge up an attack, and strike at your enemy to disarm them, and even have a chance of terrifying your enemies.

In the Growth tab, take the Disarm Counter skill to be able to disarm your enemies. Keep in mind that enemies can only be disarmed while they have a yellow glint in an upcoming attack.

When enemies charge an attack with a Yellow glint, prepare a heavy strike to disarm them. Hold your heavy attack trigger, and land a hit before they do to disarm them.
Disarmed weapons make for exellent instakills for weak enemies in a group, so it's worth it to pick up weapons from enemies. Though it does leave you vulnerable, and nearby enemies will charge at you when they notice you getting ready to throw a weapon.
