Sleight of Hand Walkthrough
1. Pick Up the Rod and Fish with the Ronin
He is fishing on the dock at Lake Kuttara. Pick up the rod and fish beside him to begin the quest. He will open up about how Saito's men overtook his sake house and turned it into a gambling den.
2. Follow the Ronin and Infiltrate the Gambling Den
Follow the ronin to the front door of the gambling den. He'll quickly tell you to take out the guard on the left as he takes out the one on the right, so act fast and do so!
Open the door and take out the sleeping guard to the right as the ronin takes the one on the left.
3. Defeat Saito's Men in the Main Chamber
The next one is an inevitable battle, so best brace yourself. Wave upon wave of enemies will come storming in so don't let up!
4. Check the Second Floor for the Ronin's Mon
Climb upstairs and search the room for the ronin's stash of mon only to find it missing. A gunman will try to snipe you from a campfire in the distance after examining the jar from the shelf.
The ronin will stay behind to cover you with his own rifle. From here, jump out of the window and down below.
5. Rush to the Campfire and Take Down the Gunman
Make a beeline for the campfire straight ahead, but be wary of the resistance along the way. Either take down the soldiers one by one as you make your way to the campfire, or run directly to the gunman.
Regardless, you must defeat all the soldiers and open the chest right next to the campfire.
6. Convince the Ronin to Stand Down
An interactive cutscene will ensue in which the wary ronin points his rifle at you, believing that you only offered aid because of the money. Whichever choice you make doesn't affect the outcome and the rewards.

How to Unlock Sleight of Hand
Talk to the Ronin North of Tranquil Falls
The ronin can be found out and about just north of the Tranquil Falls. Speak to him and he'll tell you to fish with him at Lake Kuttara, which will give you the Clue Card.
Go to the Kuttara Gambling Den Directly
Alternatively, you can try and enter the Kuttara Gambling Den directly only to get shooed away. The ronin will be outside to warn you of what's really going on in the den and offer you the opportunity to clear it out.
