3 Side Tales Side Tales are the lowest priority; you can put these aside to after completing the main story. These often revolve around random NPCs that you encounter in Ezo.

Complete All the Activities in the Game

Length 5-10 hours

There are numerous activities that you can partake in Ezo. This can vary from discovering points of interests, defeating camps, and participating in mini game.

Improve Your Build by Uncovering Points of Interest

Amber Respite Shrine Climb Overworld
A big part of the game is exploring the world of Ezo. Scale cliffside to find Shrine Climbs and be rewarded with charms, Hot Springs that increase your max health, Bamboo Strikes for spirit, Altars of Reflection for techniques, and Special Places where you need to bow or play your samishen to connect with nature. These are good to find early in the game since rewards from these improve your character.

Find Wolf Dens and Save the Wolves From Saito's Men

Biting Wind Wolf Den World
If you like having support in battle, then prioritise discovering Wolf Dens. Saving the wolves will increase your relationship with them and grant you technique points to unlock more skills on the Wolf Skill tree.

Free Ezo by Purging Camps

Yotei-Six-Camps
One of the trophies requires you to get rid of all of the Yotei Six Camps. This will be a little harder to complete, so make your choice if you want to do this before or after you complete the Main Story.

Defeat All The Bounties

Muneji the Bone Crusher Fight
Another trophy will require you to clear all the available bounties in Ezo. Similar to the camps, this can vary in difficulty, so you can have the option to do this before or after the story

Find All the Collectibles in the Game

High Wall Fox Den World
You will need to find all the available collectibles like the Sumi-e Painting Locations, Fox Dens, and The Nine Tails' Puzzle Box. Collecting this can give you some minor rewards but they are not that groundbreaking so you can put this off later in the game or post the completion of the main story.

Play the Mini Games

There are multiple item types that you need to collect to earn trophies. Explore all areas of the game to get them. This will take some time since you will need to search out specific NPCs to get them.

Collect 10 Sake Bottles

This is probably the easiest and one of the first trophies you can get in the game. All you have to do is pick up 10 filled sake bottles.

Climb Mount Yotei to Get Father and Mother's Charms

Return Home
This is something you can complete early in the game. When you first return home, you will have a flashback about the charms your father and mother left. Climb to the top of Mount Yotei and grab the charms from the Mount Yotei Shrine.

Collect All Weapons

Ghost of Yotei Practice the Odachi with Master Yoshida
Collecting weapons, as mentioned earlier, should be one of the first things you want to gather. This will take some time and exploring since you will most likely have to complete the related quests that are tied to each weapon. Ideally, you can get this during your progress for the main story.

Weapons to Collect
All Melee Weapons All Ranged Weapons All Quickfire Weapons

Collect Armor and Vanity Gear

Vanity-Gear
The lowest priority to collect are the Armors and Vanity Gears. The armors you want to gather will depend on what you need. A lot of mythic tales provide amazing armors, but you do not need to collect all of them before the main story ends.

Armors and Vanity Gear
All Armors All Vanity Gears

Complete All the Skill Challenges

Length 5-10 hours
Trophies Obtained 15

Technical challenges test your mastery over the technical aspects of the game, like weapon mastery, game mechanics, and features.

Combat Mastery Challenges

Kusarigama
With all the weapons collected, you should be able to perform the required number of tasks to prove your mastery over your arsenal. These are things like performing a pistol parry during a standoff, or killing an enemy by catching grass on fire.

Technique Mastery Challenges

Technique mastery can get tricky. Sayonara requires you to throw an enemy off a cliff using Typhoon Kick, a Yari skill, or a Shoulder Charge which you can get from Onryo - Survival Skill Tree. Doing this with the shoulder charge might be easier since you won't need the Yari, lure an enemy near the cliff, and launch them off it, just be careful not to slip and fall yourself.

Trophies will follow a similar course, where you have to make use of the techniques on the skill tree to meet the conditions of the trophy.

Game Mechanic Tasks

Interrogate Ronin
Trophies are not always about combat; show mastery in certain game mechanics to earn their corresponding trophies. This will be things like upgrading charms, interrogating enemies, fishing with your spear, and upgrading your sword at the forge.
