The cipher from the Kitsune Questline will guide you through all fox puzzles in Teshio Ridge. These symbols contain clues on how to solve puzzles, and which objects to avoid interacting with to avoid damage.

Cape Inari
| # | How to Solve |
|---|---|
| 1 | Inari Cape Entrance Enter the crack in wall and light the lantern. |
| 2 | Rope Bridge to Second Area Look for the lantern beside the broken bridge, it will have the symbol for engage, light the lantern. |
| 3 | Rope Bridge to Exit Look for the lantern with the same symbols as before, and light it to launch the bridge. |
Solve the puzzle by lighting the lantern with the correct symbol. If you light the wrong lantern it will explode and set you on fire.
How to Get in Cape Inari Hideout
Snow Drift Springs
| # | How to Solve |
|---|---|
| 1 |  The first spring is on the left side of the door. Light the lantern with the sitting fox. |
| 2 |  Light second spring is right of the door. Light the lantern with the howling fox. |
| 3 |  There should be a ledge there that you could climb up to the third spring beside the second. |
| 4 |  Light the lantern with the prone fox. |
| 5 |  Approach the spring with the fox statues. Light the lantern with the sitting and the prone fox. |
To solve this puzzle, you have to light the lantern with a statue that matches the lantern inside the spring behind it.
Snow Drift Springs Shrine Puzzle Solution
Nakajima Ice Cave
| # | How to Solve |
|---|---|
| 1 |  Make each statue face to the left and right. |
| 2 |  Turn the statue to make face it in front. |
| 3 |  Make both statues face each other. |
The Fox Puzzle in the Nakajima Ice Cave requires you to rotate each fox statue based on the symbol at its base. The symbols resemble the shapes on your controller. These symbols mean the following:
Forward - Left
- Right
Use these symbols to determine the proper direction for which the statues should be facing.
How to Get in Nakajima Ice Cave Hideout
Snow's Blight Shrine
| # | How to Solve |
|---|---|
| 1 |  Turn the Fox statues in the same direction of the foxes on the wall. |
| 2 |  Light the lamps with hanging torches above them, then keep lamps under dim torches blown out. |
| 3 | Hideout Entrance (Passage) Carry the smaller fox statues under the blue lamps and place it near the front gate to reveal the passage. |
| 4 | Cave Path to Hideout Turn the statues in the same direction of the foxes on the next platform. |
The Fox Puzzle in Snow's Blight shrine mostly requires you to follow the Stone Statues that are aligned to the interactable ones. Following this mechanic should lead you to the hideout.

Closed-Off Buildings
Throughout Teshio Ridge you'll come across buildings with no entrances. You'll need to solve these buildings by moving the statues that follow the cipher to unlock their entrances.

Kitsune Questline Fox Puzzles
The Kitsune questline introduces you to a number of puzzle mechanics which you can use. Knowing these mechanics will help you out when navigating Kitsune hideouts in Teshio Ridge.
Blood on Snow
| 1 |  Use the torch nearby and only light the lanterns with the foxes on top of them. Once complete, a crawlspace under the shrine will open, so go through it. |

| 2 |  The fox with the left paw raised goes to the right side of the gate, while the one with the right paw raised goes to the left. |
| 3.1 |  Approach the central kitsune to get some clues about how to solve this puzzle. Pay attention to the symbols at its base, then proceed to the surrounding kitsune statues. |
| 3.2 |  Use the symbols on the base of each statue to determine the correct direction they should be facing: • Rotate the leftmost one to face right. • Rotate the left one to face forward (down). • Rotate the right one to face backward (up). • Rotate the rightmost one to face left. |
The Way of the Shamisen
| 1.1 |  Simply pick up the kitsune statues and place the one facing left on the left pedestal with the left symbol, and the other one on the right with the right symbol to complete the puzzle. |

| 1.2 |  Next, rotate the lids in accordance to the symbols on them. Rotate the left one to face left, and the right one to face right. This should open the middle lid that leads to a hidden passage. |
| 2 |  Based on the clues given by the foxes near the cages, don't move the proud statue, turn the joyful statue to the right, turn the angry statue to the right, and turn the scared statue to the left. |
Poison and Lies
| 1.1 |  Light the lanterns with the kitsune on top of them posed accordingly (use the photo above as reference). |

| 1.2 |  Place the puzzle box onto the empty pedestal in front of the three kitsune statues. |
| 2 |  Three shrines with fox statues that correspond with the interactable ones will be present with symbols. Use them as clues and rotate the fox statues accordingly. |
| 3 |  Switch the places of the two inner foxes to unlock the wooden door, |
