Charms Explained

Charms Allow Stat Specialization for Different Playstyles

Charms are equipment that allow players to specialize into playstyles unique only to themselves by enhancing specific properties of Atsu's prowess. Each charm is divided by Major and Minor rarities for their slot types, as well as having a specialization for Melee, Ranged, Defense, Stealth, Utility, or Onryo charm types that help categorize their uses.

Ghost of Yotei Melee CharmMelee Melee Charms emphasizes on the up-close and personal playstyle either by amplifying the damage or providing different properties for the Katana, Odachi, Dual Katanas, and the Yari.
Ghost of Yotei Ranged CharmRanged Ranged Charms emphasizes on distanced combat either by amplifying the damage or providing different properties for the Bow and Firearm weapons.
Ghost of Yotei Defense CharmDefense Defense Charms allow Atsu to increase her survival capabilities by enhancing her durability or adding properties to her parries or dodges.
Ghost of Yotei Stealth CharmStealth Stealth Charms increases the ghastly and covert nature of Atsu by making her significantly harder to detect and more lethal with assasination techniques and the Kusarigama.
Ghost of Yotei Utility CharmUtility Utility Charms provide quality-of-life buffs to Atsu such as making gathering more plentiful or lessening resource use.
Ghost of Yotei Onryo CharmOnryo Onryo Charms provide buffs to Atsu's general core abilities such as assassinations.

Win a charm from playing zeni hajiki.
► Gambling Guide: How to Win at Zeni Hajiki

You can earn trophies by acquiring the Mother's Charm and Father's Charm at the Mount Yotei Shrine, winning at Zeni Hajiki at least twice for the Charm reward, and by upgrading at least 10 Charms s you progress through the game.
