GOY - KatanaKatana As a sword based figthing game, the Katana is the most balanced weapon in your arsenal. This is also ideal for 1-on-1 duels.
Weapon - pro Precise and balanced in battle
Weapon - pro Allows for fluid usage of combos
Weapon con - Con Single-target focus

S Tier

Dual Katana.pngDual Katana Allows for fast hits in quick succession, letting you overwhelm your enemies. This weapon is also best against spears, since it's defense let's you knock back spear users, staggering them.
Weapon - pro Fast and allows for quick succesion of attacks
Weapon - pro Can quickly overwhelm enemies
Weapon con - Con Has lower damage output without upgrades
GOY - KusarigamaKusarigama Highly versatile, and very good for breaking shields. It truly shines in stealth, allowing you to grapple enemies from a distance by dragging them into your range.
Weapon - pro High versatility for stealth attacks
Weapon - pro Highly Effective for crowd control
Weapon con - Con Ineffective against armored opponents
GOY - QuickfireQuickfire Tools This consist of items like your Kunai, Smoke Bombs, and other utilities. Items like the Metsubushi and Smoke Bombs are great pinch hitters to distract enemies, letting you attack more freely.
Weapon - pro A creative way to change the pace of a battle
Weapon con - Con Consumes items, and limited carry capacity

A Tier

GOY - YariYari It specializes in countering and interupting attacks. The spear can also be used to perform kick attacks that push enemies away a considerable distance.
Weapon - pro Great for interupting attacks and counters
Weapon - pro Highly Effective against sickle type weapons
Weapon con - Con Can be disarmed easily if not good at parrying
GOY - OdachiOdachi The Odachi is the last of the new melee weapons introduced in Ghost of Yotei, this large sword can deal massive amount of damage but sacrifices the speed and precision of a Katana for it.
Weapon - pro Can deal massive amounts of damage
Weapon - pro Best for taking on heavy enemies who are strong against lighter attacks.
Weapon con - Con Slow movement animation
GOY - BowBow Depending on what you need effects can be customized based on the arrows that you use. This is also the ideal ranged waeapon when attempting to sneak into places allowing for a quiet approach.
Weapon - pro Versatile, silent, and can be customized to what you need
Weapon con - Con Deals less damage and requires more precision

B Tier

GOY - TanegashimaTanegashima Matchlock Deals high-impact damage to enemies. While highly effective in battle, it takes time to reload and the shots are loud so using this while trying to sneak around an enemy camp is not possible.
Weapon - pro Deals a large amount of damage
Weapon con - Con Loud and has a slow reload time
