This is an unofficial method to access the game early and should be done at a player's discretion! |

Based on the time of release, New Zealand will receive the game a few hours earlier than the rest of the world. To play it on the New Zealand release, you will need to register a New Zealand-based account with a payment method valid for that region to confirm that you are a resident of the region.
| # | Instructions |
|---|---|
| 1 | ![]() To create a new account, you can either do it from your PS5 or access the PlayStation Network website and create an account from there. |
| 2 | ![]() Select create, and on the next page select New Zealand from the drop-down and complete the rest of the application. You will need a local method of payment to prove your residency for that region. |
| 3 | ![]() After completing your application, access the PlayStation Store and purchase the game. |
| 4 | Pre-load the game when its available and start playing when it releases in New Zealand, a few hours ahead of the rest of the world. |
Reminder: PlayStation Network accounts are region-locked, and their region cannot be changed once created.
There are two time zones in New Zealand: New Zealand Standard Time (NZST) for the main islands and Chatham Standard Time (CHAST) for the Chatham Islands. Associated states also use different time zones.
Here is a table of time zones used in New Zealand and its associated states.
| Time Zone | Standard Time | Daylight Time |
|---|---|---|
| New Zealand | UTC+12:00 | UTC+13:00 |
| Chatham Islands | UTC+12:45 | UTC+13:45 |
| Tokelau | UTC+13:00 | |
| Cook Islands | UTC−10:00 | |
| Niue | UTC−11:00 | |
Given that New Zealand has the earliest time zone, getting the game from there allows you to play the game a few hours ahead of other players.
Confirming the region settings for a PlayStation Network account cannot be changed after set-up, making this a big commitment. In the long run, there is very little benefit to getting access to the game just a few hours ahead. Given that a lot of PS games can be region-locked, having a dedicated account to a specific time zone is a commitment that you need to think about.
