Obtain the Yari weapon by completing The Way of the Yari quest before attempting to fight Oyuki. The Yari is highly effective against her due to its long reach, allowing you to engage while keeping a safe distance.
Throughout the fight, she will perform two variations of a 3-hit combo using her chains. The first variation is a simple 3-hit combo that can be blocked. However, if Oyuki performs a spin before throwing her third attack, the incoming attack is unblockable.
Make it a habit to always dodge after blocking the first two attacks to avoid unnecessary damage.
Combat Guide and Advanced Fighting Tips
It is better to focus on blocking rather than parrying, since most of Oyuki's attacks use chains that cannot be perfect parried.

Because of Oyuki's range, her attacks can reach you no matter how you approach the fight. It is recommended to keep your distance from Oyuki, as this gives you a larger window to react and dodge her attacks.
While maintaining distance, Oyuki will sometimes perform a lunging charge attack that can be easily parried due to its slow animation.
Oyuki's Kusarigama has poor defense against heavy attacks. Use heavy attacks whenever you see an opening to quickly stagger her and inflict heavy damage.

After fighting the Kitsune during the Poison and Lies subquest in the Kitsune questline, you must find Oyuki at the Old Graveyard, located east of the Sentinel Forest Camp near the Sakuru Woods.

Defeating Oyuki does not grant any rewards, but this boss fight is required to progress the main story as part of the Kitsune questline.

Kusarigama The Kusarigama is a sickle with a ball-n'-chain attached to its end, making it capable attacking from afar and unconventional angles. Alongside being a weapon for stealth, it is capable of disarming shield-wielding enemies. Its moveset is comprised of hooks, quick takedowns, and swings that cover you.
