Building Bridges is one of the Tales in Ghost of Yotei. Learn more about its tale, the best bridge choice, as well as its location and rewards!
Building Bridges Best Choice
Both Choices are Safe to Pick
Either choices will let Sanjuro walk away, but neither affects the final reward. You'll still receive 450 coins once the quest concludes. The only difference is that if you choose "I still have a job to do", the Matsumae Commander will let Sanjuro instead of Atsu doing it.
Building Bridges Walkthrough

1. Find a Vantage Point and Set Up Camp
Use the spyglass and hover over the point of interest, indicated by the white dot, to find a vantage point. The point is beneath the trees, on the other side of the bridge.
Follow the merchant, Sanjuro, to the vantage point. Interact with the campfire to trigger a cutscene that skips time until nightfall.
2. Defeat the Ronin
When Atsu wakes up, Sanjuro will be gone. A group of ronin with torches will approach the bridge. Defeat them all to save the bridge from being burned. Some of the enemies can be assassinated through stealth, decreasing the number of enemies you'll be facing in battle.
After the battle, you'll enter a cutscene where you'll speak with Sanjuro. Selecting either choice during the dialogue will not affect the rewards you receive in the end.

How to Unlock Building Bridges
Talk to the Commander at the Matsumae Crossing
Head to the Matsumae Crossing located to the east of the Old Stables and talk to the Matsumae Commander. Accept the request from the the commander to get the clue card.
