Quest Objectives

1. Find Okikurmi's Arrow

1.1
Use Sake Jars
Considering how this quest will turn out, you might want to restock on your sake. Apart from restoring Spirit for healing, the empty sake jar can be used to distract enemies.

Listen to the Storyteller
Go to Husko Kotan in the Nayoro Wilds and listen to the yukar storyteller tell the Legend of Opusnupuri. This will trigger the Mythic Tale.
1.3
Climb Niptay Mountain
Head southwest to the Niptay Mountains. Start climbing the mountain by using your grappling hook at the base.
1.4
Swing to the Other Side
Run to the right and use your hook again to swing to the other side. Continue your climb up along the wall.

At the top, you will encounter an Ainu man with a stag. He will invite you to set up camp to talk with him for a while.

Pull the Barricade with the Ainu Man
Follow the Ainu man. On the way, pull down the wooden boards to slip through the other side.

Attacked By a Bear
Examine the extinguished campfire and the blood on the ground. After doing so, a bear will suddenly attack, flinging you off the mountain and into a ravine.

Talk to the Injured Ronin
Squeeze through the walls and follow the path, as well as the sound of the bear and gunfire. Talk to the injured ronin at the end of the path.

Escape the Bear for the First Time
Behind you, the bear will appear again. Act fast and squeeze back through the gap you came from and make a beeline for the handholds!

Climb Out of the Ravine
Jump across and cross the log. Jump again and climb the walls leading back up the mountain.

Climb Out from the Cave
Continuing up the grassy path, enter a cave. Climb up the cave wall.

Meet Up with the Ainu Man Again
In a small area with ice, climb the wall and climb the ledges. At the very top, you will meet the Ainu man again with a camp of his own. He will explain that the bear can only be killed with okikurmi’s arrow.

2. Continue the Search Up the Mountain

Rappel Down
Climb down from the Ainu man’s camp and jump across to reach the other side. Climb down again with your grappling hook.
2.2
Hide from the Bear
Hide from the bear in the grass. Run right and look up to climb up with your hook.
2.3
Cross the Rope
Go to the other side by walking on the rope.
2.4
Hide from the Bear Again
Hide from the bear again in the grass. Use up a sake and use the empty jar to distract the bear if you need to. Go around it, following the grass patches to a cliffside to lower yourself from.
2.5
Grapple to the Other Side
Run along and use your hook to swing yourself to the other side, landing on the opposite rock.
2.6
Hide and Make Your Way to the Handholds
Climb the wall down and hide in the grass. Use a sake jar to distract the bear then following the grass, hugging the left side of the mountain until you find a wall to climb up. There is a torch here to mark where the wall is.

Jump on the Branch
On top, jump on the branch and leap to the other side.
2.8
Rappel Down to the Tree
Follow the snowy path and head down from the ledge with your hook.
2.9
Acquire Okikumi
On a frozen lake, you will see a tree. Approach the base of the tree to find okikurmi’s arrow.

3. Kill the Bad Kamuy

3.1
Climb the Frozen Waterfall
Climb up the frozen waterfall behind the tree. The Ainu man will appear again by a rock. A cutscene will ensue where the bear is coming toward you down the slope.
3.2
Kill the Bad Kamuy
End the bad kamuy’s suffering by shooting it with okikurmi’s arrow.
3.3
Get the Charm of True Aim
Another cutscene will play, where Atsu returns to the yukar storyteller back at Husko Kotan. After the cutscene ends, you will receive the Charm of True Aim, closing the tale.

Listen to the Yukar Storyteller at Husko Kotan

Listen to the Yukar Storyteller at Husko Kotan

Reach the Husko Kotan in Nayoro Wilds and find the big tree with orange leaves. There, you can find the yukar storyteller with people gathered around. Going near the storyteller will get you the clue card for the Legend of Opusnupuri. Listen to the tale to start the quest.
