1. Start the Kitsune Quest Line 2. Go to the Owl Mountain 3. Train Under Master Enomoto |

In order to get the Kusarigama, you must first start the "The Kitsune" quest line. This will give you information about the Kusarigama master residing in Teshio Ridge.

After starting the Kitsune quest line and reaching the Teshio Ridge, you will unlock the option to reach the Owl Mountain.
The Owl Mountain itself is found at the northern part of the map by follow the pathway from the Sakuru Woods.

As you near the marker, you will come upon a bridge. Cross it and you should see multiple Owl statues and hear a Nine Tail shout out Enomoto's name. This should prompt the Way of the Kusarigama quest to start.

| 3.1 | ![]() Since you and Master Enomoto are outnumbered, you will need to clear out the Nine Tails that are remaining in the area. |
| 3.2 | ![]() After defeating the Nine Tails, Atsu will request Master Enomoto to teach her. You will then get the Kusarigama from the Owl statue nearby after he judges your reasons for fighting. |
| 3.3 | ![]() Your first trial after getting the Kusarigama is to cut through bamboo stalks to access an area by pressing the light attack button. |
| 3.4 | ![]() To activate a tightrope, you must destroy the vases that the bear carvings are holding by pressing the heavy button. After reaching the other cliff using the rope, you'll test the two attacks on Nine Tails |
| 3.5 | ![]() After defeating the Nine Tails, you must climb and pass through the course that Master Enomoto set. |
| 3.6 | ![]() During a storm, Enomoto will push you to use the Ferocious Whirlwind attack to break dummies. |
| 3.7 | ![]() Reflect on a not-so Hot Spring in the mountains. Doing so also counts towards the unlock conditions of the Fundoshi. |
| 3.8 | ![]() As for the last trial, you must break both the shield and sword of Master Enomoto to truly claim the weapon as yours. |
To fully obtain the Kusarigama as your own, you will have to go through a set of tasks, tribulations, and training assigned by Master Enomoto. After completing them, you can now use the weapon outside the mission.

All Techniques and Skill Trees
The Kusarigama is countered by a Yari's innate range and ability to disrupt the chained weight. The Kusarigama is naturally a short weapon that compensates with the weight attached to it, so Spears naturall counter it.

The Kusarigama is a sickle with a ball-n'-chain attached to its end, making it capable attacking from afar and unconventional angles. Alongside being a weapon for stealth, it is capable of disarming shield-wielding enemies. Its moveset is comprised of hooks, quick takedowns, and swings that cover you.
