The Way of the Kusarigama Walkthrough
1. Ride to Owl Mountain and Meet With Master Enomoto
Owl Mountain is located far to the north of Teshio Ridge. When you get there, follow the golden bird up and across the bridge to spot Master Enomoto killing Nine Tails shinobi.
Speak with him and he'll ask for aid in eliminating the surrounding Nine Tails. Agree to do so.
2. Assassinate the Nine Tails
Follow Master Enomoto and assassinate all the remaining Nine Tails shinobi alongside him. He specializes in stealth so it would be wiser to take down the enemies quietly, but you could face them head-on if you wish.
Afterwards, speak to Master Enomoto and he'll agree to train you.
3. Pick Up the Kusarigama and Test It Out
After the cutscene, pick up the kusarigama from the owl statue and follow Master Enomoto up the hill and through the bamboo grove. Cut the bamboo with light attacks, then smash the pots on the bear statues with heavy attacks.
Cross the slackline, proceed to the ajar gate, and squeeze through. More Nine Tails with shields will show up, which the kusarigama is effective against. Use it and defeat them. The next wave will be more versatile, so switch accordingly and decimate them.
4. Make Your Way Up the Dojo
| 4.1 | Jump to the Beam and Climb the Ladder |

 Cross the first beam then jump to the beam on the left. Wait for the ladder to descend on its own, then jump to it and climb up. |

| 4.2 | Use the Handholds |
 Use the handholds to climb up to the top of the cliff. Afterwards, cross the slackline. |
|
| 4.3 | Jump to the Cliff and Scaffolding |
 While on the slackline, face the rock and jump on it, then jump on the scaffolding just ahead. |
|
| 4.4 | Cross the Beams |
 Use the beams to cross to the other side, then climb up the ledge. |
|
| 4.5 | Enter the Dojo |
 Follow the path ahead and climb the ladder up to the Dojo, then speak to Master Enomoto. |
5. Train with Master Enomoto in the Cold
Master Enomoto will instruct you to follow him outside to train. Try to perform Ferocious Whirlwind by holding the Triangle button and releasing it, but to no avail as it is too cold. Follow Master Enomoto higher up by using the handholds.
Once you reach the house, try to perform Ferocious Whirlwind again, and once again end up failing. Master Enomoto will instruct you to bathe in the ice pool to strengthen your willpower, so do so.
In the morning, your resolve will have gotten stronger, allowing you to perform Ferocious Whirlwind successfully. Now spar with Master Enomoto then watch the cutscenes.
6. Find the Nine Tails
After the cutscene, Master Enomoto will lead you to the edge of the cliff and ask you to use your spyglass and find the Nine Tails. Spot a port village to the east and you will be informed that a weaponsmith is being kept there.
This unlocks the kusarigama permanently and conclude this quest!

Completing the Way of the Kusarigama will permanently unlock the Kusarigama, a ball and sickle that is perfect for going up against sheilded enemies!

The Way of the Kusarigama is unlocked upon getting leads on The Kitsune and starting this questline in Chapter 1 of Atsu's journey.
