The Bounty Master armor is best in this fight to aim for perfect parries as Takezo attacks quickly and can kill you in one or two hit. As such what we need is utility and damage and this armor has a perk that allows you to strike three times after a perfect parry so you can damage him without any risk of getting hit.

There are points of interest scattered throughout Ezo that you can visit to gain bonus stats, helping you improve your ability to fight tougher opponents. While each one on its own is not game changing, collectively they provide a massive boost to your combat capabilities.
In this fight, two of the most useful tools you can rely on are the Kunai and Tanzutsu. They deal excellent stagger damage and can interrupt Takezo, giving you a brief window to land a few hits before backing retreating.
If you're confident, keep up the pressure by alternating between quickfire attacks and melee attacks. This approach not only prevents Takezo from recovering but also helps you chip away at his HP.

Start the fight against Takezo with a Katana or Dual Katana. He only uses Dual Katanas the entire fight and these weapons are perfect for balanced speed and damage against Takezo.
After taking out 25% of his health, a blizzard will cover the area. Both Atsu and Takezo will be affected by this. Atsu will lose max health further endagering yourself to one hit strikes from Takezo. However, Takezo is more prone to stagger damage, making parries more valuable in this phase of the fight.
Use your Oni Flame to deal more damage to Takezo. Takezo has a lot of health so it helps to use Oni Flame during the fight against him. You can also use fire arrows or reapply your oni flame during this downtime too.
Maintain some distance from Takezo and wait for him to attack, use the Onryo's Strike to disarm him. Since he only uses dual katanas, it is best to spend your Spirit on using Onryo's Strike to disarm him, giving you an opportunity to deal a ton of damage.

You can upgrade your Onryo's Strike by obtaining the Dance of Wrath from the Storm Blade Myth. This upgrade allows you to disarm your target up to 3 times. When used against a single enemy, you can disarm both of their dual katanas, leaving them completely defenseless.

You shouldn't hesitate to use all your Spirit to disarm Takezo, as you'll want to go all out while he's unarmed to deal significant damage. Make sure to stock up on Sake and use them wisely to maintain your Spirit. You'll need these for Onryo's Strike, which costs 3 Spirit.

You can find Takezo at the summit of Mount Yotei. However, you need to complete Takezo the Unrivaled Mythic Tale first before the Takezo The Five Teachings Mythic Tale shows up.

You need to equip all five Takezo charms for him to show up on top of Mount Yotei. However, you can change your charms after you meet him on Mount Yotei.
