The Final Hunt of the Onryo Walkthrough
1. Meet with the Spider at the Central Ferry
Fast travel to the Smoky Flower Grove and travel to the Central Ferry. He's located a little further ways north from the main dock itself. Speak to him to begin the quest.
Taka note that this is the point of no return. Starting this quest will render the rest of Ezo inaccessible until you complete it, so tie up any loose ends, finish up whatever you need to, and upgrade your gear to prepare before proceeding.

2. Make Your First Ascent
As the Spider put it himself, you've got a climb ahead of you. After the cutscenes, keep climbing the handholds until you reach the top. Spot a fallen tree just ahead of you and use it to reach the ledge beyond.
Once you reach the slope, pull out your spyglass and observe the field. Once all points of interest have been investigated, slide down the slope and into Koga Fortress.
3. Make Your Way Into the Fortress
The front gate is heavily guarded with armored guards and flag bearers that are tougher than your average outlaw. As Atsu suggests, it would be best to do this quietly, so equip the Nine Tail Armor to avoid getting detected faster.
If you wish to do this stealthily, you will need to have at least level 1 of Chain Assassination most enemies here have 1 or 2 allies nearby.
| 3.1 | Assassinate the Guards on the Left |

 Slowly walk towards the left side and chain assassinate the two outlaws abusing the workers. After that, follow the third outlaw facing the ledge and kill him as well. |

| 3.2 | Kill the Outlaw on the Tower |
 Walk on the rope and eliminate the outlaw on the tower. After that, you can go back to the other side of the rope. |
|
| 3.3 | Chain Assassinate the Enemies Below |
 Upon reaching the other side of the rope, chain assassinate the two outlaws below. Assassinate the other outlaw near the tower next where you assassinated the fourth outlaw. |
|
| 3.4 | Head to the River Area |
 Go under the middle part of the bridge by passing through on the right side of the tower, and head to the river area. There will be fewer enemies here, and you will be able to enter the fortress from here. |
|
| 3.5 | Follow the River |
 Follow the river while still hidden. Use the wooden box, carts, and tall grasses while keeping close to the bridge to pass through the four enemies in the area. After that, go up the cliff through the slope on the right side. |
4. Enter the Fortress
Once you're on top of the cliff, use your grappling hook to swing to the handhold points until you reach the tower. Once you're there, use your spyglass to try and search for Jubei and Oyuki. Spot the execution site in the distance to find Matsumae soldiers being executed, and Jubei will likely be next.
5. Reach the Execution Site
Right below the tower is another camp of soldiers. It's best to pass them through stealth again, but you can always get their attention and fight them head-on if you want.

 You can start by assassinating the leader below to fill your Ghost Stance immediately. |

| 5.2 | Jump Over the Wall |
 Jump over the wall to the right using the shelf to get to the other side. After that, pass through the broken silk wall. |

| 5.3 | Reach the Stable |
 Reach the small stable near the gate where Jubei is about to be executed. Go through the right very carefully and use the covers, as enemies can spot you there. |
|
| 5.4 | Assassinate the Guard on the Tower |
 Assassinate the guard on the tower using a bow, preferably the Yumi Bow. A clean shot to the head should kill him instantly. It is very crucial, as he might spot you in the next step if you don't kill him. |
|
| 5.5 | Create a Distraction and Head for the Gate |
 Drink a Sake and keep the empty bottle with you. Throw it near the tower and the campfire to distract the enemies close to the gate. Head for the gate quietly and open the door to get to the next sequence. Note that you won't be able to open the gate if you're in combat, so make sure that the enemies won't see you while doing this. |
Rescue Jubei
Your Ghost Stance will be ready as soon as you enter the execution site. Unleash it and slaughter all the soldiers in your path.
Afterwards, a cutscene between Jubei and Atsu will play. Follow Jubei after and he will tell you that Oyuki is kept at a keep in the distance.
6. Find a Way Across the Ravine
| 6.1 | Traverse the Handholds |
|---|---|
 Look to your left to spot a cliff and some handholds on the other side. Jump to the handholds and shimmy to the right, then drop safely in the ground. |
|
| 6.2 | Cross the Fallen Tree |
 Use the fallen tree as a bridge and cross it to the other side. Grab the chest on the platform, then jump to the handholds ahead. |
|
| 6.3 | Hop Onto the Branch and Climb Up |
 Traverse the handholds to the right and grab the branch. Use it to boost yourself up, then climb to the top of the ledge. |
7. Kill Saito's Soldiers
Brace yourself for battle. Squeeze through the opening and win a side-by-side Standoff with Jubei. Afterwards, kill every soldier in sight, then proceed further.
Open the gate, then prepare to decimate the next wave of enemies coming your way. Watch out for the gunners and their explosives. Keep pushing forward to the keep, cutting down soldier along the way.
8. Rescue Oyuki
Once you reach the keep, Jubei will boost you up to the second floor. Wait for him to come through the front and kill enemies of his own, then assassinate the remaining enemies from above, saving Oyuki.
She'll inform you that Saito is waiting for you “where it all began”.
9. Slide Down and Make Your Escape
Koga Fortress will self-destruct as Saito has anticipated your assault and sent his men to destroy it. Slide down and kill all the soldiers.
Backup will soon arrive, with shield gunners blocking your path. Charge through the wall of guards along with your allies and bum-rush to the exit.
10. Defeat Lord Saito
Return to Atsu's home for the final battle. With one target left, the objective is simple: kill Lord Saito and complete your revenge.
If you keep on dying during the final duel, the game will ask you to Suspend the Duel or Continue. If you choose to suspend, you can save your progress and get out of the quest to do upgrades, other quests, etc., if you wish.

Post-Game Content
With the game's story complete and Atsu's hunt finished, all that's left will be to clear Ezo of any lingering threats from the Yotei Six's influence.
Upon defeating Saito and finishing the game, 3 new quests will be made available to undertake regarding the Oni's raiders, the Nine Tails shinobi, and a powerful duelist that is sure to put the Onryo's skills to the test!
