Gamble Coins at Zen Hajiki
Head to South of Lake Kuttara and find the Gambling Den in the area. If you try to enter, you'll be stopped by guards and a Ronin will pull you to the side, starting the Sleight of Hand side quest. Completing the quest will unlock Zen Hajiki for you, which can be a consistent source of coin in your journey.
After successfully killing Saito's men, you may now play Zen Hajiki with the Ronin. You'll be able to up the ante and get more coins from playing this minigame!
Gambling Guide: How to Win at Zeni Hajiki
Turn on Power Display in Settings
If you find Zen Hajiki tricky, open your settings and go to accessibility, then turn on the Zen Hajiki Shot Power Display. This will let you see how far a coin can be flicked while pressing the button.
Complete Bounties
Bounties will offer a huge chunk of money in one go, but can be challenging. Take on these bounties and refer to your map to find the general area of where your target was last seen.
Keep in mind that not all bounties offer coin as a reward, and may offer items such as a Weapon Kit, so keep in mind what reward you'll get for the bounty you decide to pursue.
Help NPCs
In your journey, you may pass by settlers being harassed by enemies. Helping out these NPCs will earn you a reward, and can also help you earn money on the side as you travel between your destinations.
Loot Enemies
Looting the corpses of your defeated foes may not earn a lot, but can build up to a pretty hefty chunk after a while. Saito Compounds especially have plenty of enemies for you to slaughter and loot from, so it's definitely worth visiting one for a quick buck!
