1. Follow the Red Yuki Mushi to a Campsite
| 1.1 |  After talking to Ugetsu, examine the snow sculpture of a mother and daughter in front of you. A swarm of red yuki mushi will then beckon you to follow them. |

| 1.2 |  Follow the red yuki mushi to a campsite up the mountain. Examine the wooden remnants of a tent to obtain a piece of a journal hinting for you to find a Mother Daughter Tree in the eastern Hakodake Mountains. |
2. Find a Mother Daughter Tree in the Hakodake Mountains
| 2.1 |  From the Sakuru Woods, travel northwest past the Sentinel Forest to reach the eastern Hakodake Mountains. There, find an orange Mother Daughter tree and examine the snow sculpture beside it. |

| 2.2 |  When you are about to follow the red yuki mushi, you will be ambushed by shinobi hidden in the snow moulds. Defeat them before following the yuki mushi. |
| 2.3 |  Follow the red yuki mushi up the mountain to an abandoned shack. Enter the shack and take the scroll on the ground. This time, you will have to go to the northern part of Teshio River to find a Mother Daughter tree there. |
3. Find a Mother Daughter Tree in Northern Teshio Ridge
Travel southwest from the Hakodake Mountains to reach the upper part of Teshio River. Find the orange Mother Daughter tree and examine the snow sculpture under it.
4. Reach the Abandoned Home
| 4.1 |  Follow the red yuki mushi into a cave. Slip through the right side to get past the rocks. |

| 4.2 |  Further inside the cave, you will see a broken bridge leading to the exit. Turn right and climb the ledges there instead to reach the other side. |
| 4.3 |  Outside the cave, you will have to jump over a small chasm. Pull the branch with the grappling hook then jump on it. Use the hook again on the branch above you to swing to the other side. Run through the last segment of the cave until you reach an abandoned home. |
| 4.4 |  Enter the home and climb up to the attic. Take the scroll on the table. The scroll will tell you to find the last snow sculpture. |
| 4.5 |  You can find the last and incomplete snow sculpture near the bottom of the house on the frozen river. Examine it to complete the missing half of the sculpture. |
| 4.6 |  Follow the red yuki mushi to the mother's grave a little further away from the house. Examine the rocks beside the grave marker to find a box with the Crimson Kimono inside it. After the cutscene, Atsu will don the Crimson Kimono, closing the tale. |

Speak with the man, Ugetsu, sitting beneath the Mother Daughter Tree, the tree with orange leaves, and finish the cutscene to unlock the Crimson Kimono clue card.
