1. Find the Matsumae Scout
| 1.1 |  After speaking with the commander at Masked Man’s Quarry, head southeast to the Matsumae Outpost, where the scouts were last seen. |

| 1.2 |  Upon reaching the camp, you'll find out that one of scouts survived after examining the area. |
| 1.3 |  Follow the blood trail and footprints down the slope. After sliding to the bottom, turn right and continue tracking the footprints to the next slope. |
| 1.4 |  Open the spyglass and aim it at the soldier being attacked by a group of Oni Raiders. |
2. Defeat the Enemies and Return to the Commander
| 2.1 |  Rush to the soldier and help him defeat the Oni Raiders. You don’t need to worry about the scout, since he can handle himself and will help thin out their numbers. |

| 2.2 |  After defeating the enemies, you’ll be given a dialogue choice: tell the commander that the scout died, or convince the scout that deserting the Matsumae is a serious offense. Either option doesn’t affect your rewards, but the difference is that choosing “That’s Desertion” will result in the scout returning to Masked Man’s Quarry. After choosing, return to the commander to claim your reward. |

Speak with the Matsumae Soldier in Masked Man's Quarry
Find and speak with the Matsumae soldier inside Masked Man's Quarry. You'll have to capture this location first by defeating all of the Oni Raiders in the area.
