How to Get the Yari

1. Start The Oni Quest Line

In order to get the Yari, you must start the The Oni quest line as the initial requirement.

2. Go to Modaiwa Island

After starting the Oni quest line and reaching the Ishikari Plain, you will be capable of reaching Modaiwa Island. It is located in the west of the region.

Sensei Takahashi will be hidden on the island. Interact with the Yari in the middle of the island, and the master will appear and challenge you for a duel.

3. Train Under Sensei Takahashi

3.1	Sensei Takahashi tells you to catch fish in mid-air using a makeshift Yari. ▶ How to Catch Fish
3.2	To practice how to use the Yari efficiently. You are tasked to create a Sumi-e painting.
3.3	Sensei Takahashi tells you to catch more than one fish using the makeshift Yari. This time Atsu will catch three fish, finishing the basic of using a Yari.
3.4	For the next lesson, Sensei Takahashi teaches you how to use the technique, Typhoon Kick.
3.5	Sensei Takahashi will tell you to eliminate the Oni Raiders using the makeshift Yari.

Completing these trials will permanently unlock the Yari, equipped with its default kit.

Afterward, Sensei Takahashi will offer a new quest line that ultimately rewards you with an advanced Yari technique and his signature weapon kit.
