You can not increase attack speed in Ghost of Yotei since Atsu's stats cannot be adjusted. Find out if you can increase attack speed and how to do it here!

You Can Not Increase Your Attack Speed

GOY - Choose weapons that attack faster

Your attack speed cannot be increased, given that you cannot directly improve Atsu's stats. The only way to somewhat improve your speed when attacking is to choose a weapon with a higher speed, like the Dual Katana or the Yari.

Getting techniques like Shifting Strike, which unleashes a rapid Heavy Attack when changing weapons, and mastering skills like Perfect Parrying can also improve how your attack lands.

Use Armor That Improves Reload Speed

GOY - Charms that rapid fire

For ranged weapons, some armors can increase reload speed, like the Dragonfly Armor or the Ginji's Guard Armor. This can allow you to make faster attacks.

You can also get the Charm of True Aim and max level to have your Yumi release more arrows at once or the Charm of Raining Arrows for the Hankyu which auto aims on enemies and rapidly fires arrows.
