Heal Atsu in Ghost of Yotei by pressing the down button on the D-Pad when you have enough Spirit. Learn about how to heal, how to earn Spirit, and what happens if you run out of health here!

Press the Down Button on the D-Pad In Combat

GOY - How to Heal
During combat, press the down button on the D-Pad when you have enough spirit to heal. Remember to keep an eye on your spirit so that you have enough for recovery, otherwise gain some spirit to recover health.

Fast Travel

Fast traveling to a designated location will fully restore your health. If you find yourself in a pinch, especially if you are running low on spirit, you can fast travel to any location for a full restore.

Atsu can heal up by setting a camp anywhere in Ezo. Apart from this, she can also engage in extra activities such as cooking, playing the shamisen, or call over a member of her Wolf Pack for resources.

Earn Spirit by Defeating Enemies

Atsu will be able to regain Spirit by defeating the enemies she engages with. Spirits are valuable resources in restoring Atsu's health.

Earn Spirit from Parrying

Like defeating your enemies, parrying against them successfully during combat will restore some Spirit in return. This will allow you to simultaneously heal yourself or use it for a special technique.

What Happens If You Run Out of Health?

Game Over Once You're Out of Health

GOY - Die If You Lose All Health
Losing your health and dying will ultimately result to a game over. Atsu will respawn in the nearest checkpoint, alongside the enemies whom she has been fighting prior to dying.
