After finishing the quest in Old Inn in Yotei Grasslands, you will have the main quest The Way of the Dual Katana.
The Way of Dual Katana Quest Walkthrough

Make your way to Mount Yotei, specifically in the Jade Grove and just a little ways west off Shikotsu Woods. Look for a lantern beside a trail that leads to a gap in a wall. Approach it and squeeze through it. Continue onward and follow the trail to the next gap you can squeeze through.
Keep climbing until you reach the top of the cliffs where the house of Hanbei, the dual katana master, is located.

| 3.1 | ![]() Upon reaching Hanbei's hut, search its interior and examine the katana on display. Hanbei will appear and conversate with you. |
| 3.2 | ![]() Follow Hanbei as he leads you to the training grounds. The first part of his training is chucking burning coals at you, and your job is to hit them precisely before they hit you. |
| 3.3 | ![]() You will be asked to cut the bamboo strike by inputting commands on the left side of your controller. It will be purposefully difficult and is designed for you to fail to immerse you in Atsu's trials. |
| 3.4 | ![]() You and Hanbei will sit by the fire in retrospect, triggering a playable flashback.After this, Hanbei will ask you to repeat the charcoal and bamboo strike trials.This time it will be easier for you to succeed with the challenge. |
| 3.5 | ![]() You will help Hunbei in dealing with invading Saito's men. Use your dual katanas to fight off spearmen. |
Completing these trials will permanently unlock the Dual Katana, equipped with its default kit. You will also learn the Tempest Strike technique.
Afterwards, Hanbei will lead you to another quest which pursues Lord Saito in Tokachi Range.
ꕥ The values for the stats has been determined by counting the pixels. The stats of Enhanced can only be applied when the weapon is Reinforced.

All Techniques and Skill Trees
Like its solo variant, the Dual Katanas itself is only countered by users that are adept with Katanas. While fast, a skilled user of the Katana can keep the flurry of attacks at bay.

Dual-wielding katanas allows for varied offense that can come from any side. These weapon combination is designed to deal with spear-wielding enemies. Its moveset focuses on heavy strokes aimed to finish fights with as few slashses as possible
