How to Unlock Where Shadows Surge
Clear Behind the Curtain
To unlock Where Shadows Surge, players must first finish the Main Commission Behind the Curtain, which is part of the Version 2.0 Main Story, Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn.

- Return to Suibian Temple and meet up with the others
- Destroy three Miasma coagula
- Keep searching for patients who entered the Hollow

Investigate leads regarding the medicine
Head downtown to meet up with Komato Manato to talk about information regarding anti-Corruption medicine. He asks to pass on a message to his friend named Paulo when you see them.
Return to Suibian Temple and meet up with the others
After hearing the intel from Komato, head back to Suibian Temple and discuss with the crew on what to do forward.
Destroy three Miasma coagula
Upon entering the Hollow, you'll be fighting a wave of Ethereals while investigating the Miasma residue. After that, you'll encounter a Miasma Tumor which you can remove by scanning three of its weak points nearby, then repeatedly pressing F at the tumor until it pops.
A notable detail is that you get to control the three new characters as a preview: Yixuan, Ju Fufu and Pan Yinhu!
Keep searching for patients who entered the Hollow
After clearing the Tumor and the barrier, head further into the Hollow in search of patients. Expect battles en route to the designated area.
Eventually, you'll be able to meet Paulo at the end of the path.
Use “Insight” to track down other patients
Make use of Yixuan's “Insight” by investigating a nearby plant as a clue, then use the biosignal that appears to find the infected workers.
Investigate the infected workers
Once the workers are found, make sure to talk to all of them to get intel about the situation regarding the medicine they need.
Find Yixuan Shifu to analyze the intel
Continue further down to meet up with Yixuan, who just so happens to be beside a semi-invisible bridge.
Find patients suffering from the Corruption outbreak
Continue down the path and talk to the suffering patients that you come across. You will have to fight a couple of times en route, so be on alert.
Destroy the Miasma Tumor to remove the Miasma Barrier
After talking to the corrupted patients, and battling through multiple waves of Ethereals, you will come across yet another Miasma Tumor that is holding up a Miasma Barrier.
Use Yixuan's “Insight” to destroy the coagulas first, then move on to destroy the Tumor itself once prompted.
Talk to the anxious Bangboo
Head towards the plaza after clearing the way, and once there talk to the anxious Bangboo that is worried for its master's health. This doubles as a checkpoint with the option to leave the Hollow as a means to “get backup”.
Search nearby for anti-corruption medicine
Continue down the path after talking to more corrupted patients. There are obstacles that need clearing using Yixuan's “Insight”, and waves of Ethereals to be encountered!
Take the elevator to the medicine storage area
At the end of the trail of clues involving the anti-corruption medicine, you'll reach an elevator that takes you down to the medicine storage area. You'll know you're in the right area when the UI suddenly disappears upon entering the elevator.
Defeat the nearby Ethereals
Once off the elevator, you'll be fighting Ethereals again. Clear them to make way to the nearby batches of medicine.
Defeat the Ethereal and Flame Cantor
After a confrontation with Dr. Lohr, you'll be thrust into back-to-back battles with Ethereals. The second one is noted to be the debut of the Flame Cantor in Main Commissions!
Discuss the plan with Wise/Belle
After leaving the Hollow, you'll be back in Suiban Temple with everyone. Talk to your sibling on what steps to take next!

at point Destroy three Miasma coagula, I can't see prompt to destroy it with 'F' repeatedly, is it bug or there is step that I miss?
