The AEK-973 is a 3-round burst fire Marksman Rifle that does 40 torso damage per shot at up to 25m and around 33 torso damage at 50m, giving you an average of 3-4 torso shots to kill. It also has a Single Shot select fire option you can use for a more accurate tap-shooting style.

Use the Ported Compensator and Vertical Foregrip to improve horizontal and vertical recoil control. Then, equip the Balanced Stock for improved overall movement from sprinting to strafing, and equip the Quickdraw Grip for faster ADS speeds.

Equip the Extended Mag I for a 45-round clip, the Reinforced Barrel for greatly increased damage range and bullet velocity, then Rapid Fire mod for a better fire rate especially on Single Shot select fire. Attach an OM3 '92 Holo or any optic of your preference.

The AEK-973 can be used more aggressively compared to other Marksman Rifles, but it is still best used in a Recon loadout for tracking enemies and staying off their minimap.

Have the Stim Shot for quick heals and refreshing tactical sprint, then have the Blast Trap and Spring Mine as traps for enemy rotators.

How to Unlock AEK-973

Reach Account Level 34

The AEK-973 is unlocked by reaching Account Level 34. Use Double XP Tokens or participate in Double XP Events to quickly level up your account to level 34.
