Point blank kills in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (BO6) are earned by gunning down enemies at extremely close range. Read on to learn more about point blank kills and how to get point blank kills.
You can gauge that you are at melee range when your movement is blocked by the enemy.
Point Blank Kills are kills that are earned by shooting enemies no more than five meters away from you, the closest being at melee range. Point Blank Kills show up as Kill Medals and grant additional XP.
Take note that melee kills are not considered as point blank kills!
When going for Point Blank Kills, an effective tactic is to get kills while hip firing since they are attained in close-quarters combat.
Equip a gun you can easily hip fire with such as SMGs, or high-stopping power guns like Shotguns to have the highest chance of winning a gunfight up close.
You'll need to get up close and personal when gunning for point blank kills, and throwables like Stun Grenades and Flashbangs will help you close the gap between your target.
Using slides and dives are effective movement tools for closing the gap against enemy players. While risky againt enemies with fast aim, you can use these maneuvers to surprise them and get close enough for a Point Blank Kill.
If not going on the offensive, defensive play at close-quarters is also a valid tactic. Try waiting at corners, doors, and chokepoints instead. Wait for unsuspecting enemies to get close and snatch your Point Blank Kill.
Though happening rarely, you can also take advantage of enemies locked in execution animations and get close for a Point Blank Kill.
