The Tomb (New Zombies Map)

The Tomb is an all-new zombies map that will drop on Season 2's launch day. As with all Zombies maps, it will feature a handful of easter eggs for players to uncover. Completing the main quest will reward players with a X91 Ice-Pike Wonder Weapon skin, a unique Calling Card (must be completed before Directed Mode is released), and 5,000 XP.

New Wonder Weapon: Staff of Ice

The Staff of Ice is a new Wonder Weapon in The Tomb that has the ability to slow and freeze enemies, and also comes packed with a devastating area-of-effect attack. Not only that, but players can also revive their teammates with it via a precision-shot restorative blast.

New Enemy: Shock Mimic

Joining in the ranks of the Elite Zombies, the Shock Mimic functions like a regular Mimic, but can electrify players and deals more lethal damage than its regular variant.

Returning Perk-a-Cola: Death Perception

The Death Perception makes its return in The Tomb. This perk-a-cola allows players to see enemies through walls and obstacles, as well as new abilities that can be unlocked or further enhanced with Augments.

Available in Other Maps via Der Wunderfizz

While a Death Perception machine is present in The Tomb, it will also be available in Liberty Falls, Terminus, and Citadelle des Morts through the Der Wunderfizz machine.

War Machine (New Support Weapon)

The War Machine is a new grenade launcher support weapon for Zombies. It can be created at the Crafting Table for 2,500 Salvage.

New GobbleGums

Three new GobbleGums for Zombies mode will be added in the Season 2 launch: Dead Drop (Epic), Modified Chaos (Legendary), and Quacknarok (Whimsical).

New Weapons

More than six new weapons will make their debut in Season 2, but only four have been revealed so far: PPSh-41, Cypher 091, Feng 82, TR2—all of which will be available to use in both Multiplayer and Zombies.

The rest of the new armaments will be revealed as the Mid-Season approaches.

New Attachments

There are four new attachments in Season 2. Three will be available on launch: Full Auto Mod, Binary Trigger, and the Crossbow Attachment. The last one, the Belt-Fed Attachment will arrive in the Season 2 Reloaded update.

New Multiplayer Maps

Five new Multiplayer maps have been revealed for Season 2, and the ones available on launch are Bounty, Dealership, and Lifeline. The latter two, Bullet and Grind, will arrive later on in the season.

New Operators

The Battle Pass for Season 2 brings in the Vortex and Nocturne Operators for the Crimson One faction. Both Operators can be unlocked in the Instant Reward page, although the Vortex Operator requires the BlackCell pass.

Some additional Multiplayer content like the Slipstream Perk, the Flyswatter Wildcard, and the War Machine Scorestreak will also be added for Season 2.

Challenge Tracking

One of the Quality-of-Life updates included is a new Challenge Tracking system that enables players to manually track up to 10 Calling Card Challenges and 10 Camo Challenges for both Zombies and Multiplayer modes. With this, players can track and see their progress easily.

Co-Op Pause

Previously, pausing a Zombies match was only available in Solo mode, but in the upcoming Season 2 update, the ability to pause the game will be made available in online Co-Op play. This is a highly requested feature from COD players and a welcome addition to the game mode, as it allows a party to take small breaks or strategize their next move.

AFK Kick Loadout Recovery

Players who get booted off a Zombies game due to inactivity will be able to reconnect back to the game with all their Essence, Salvage, and current Loadout intact.

Separate HUD Presets

Beginning Season 2, players can now have a separate HUD preset for Zombies and Multiplayer. In the past, players had to manually change their preferred HUD setup when hopping between the two game modes.
