Permanent Unlock is a progression reward earned when you enter Prestige mode in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 (BO6). Learn how to use permanent unlocks, how to get them, and the best items to permanently unlock.
List of Contents
Once you have the Permanent Unlock Token from entering a Prestige level, select any 1 item in the Progression tree then press the button corresponding to the Permanent Unlock Available option. The permanently unlocked item will then become available to use at any level regardless of Prestige resets.
Note that permanent unlocks cannot be refunded to unlock other items in the Progression tree. Make sure to plan ahead on the items you want to use early on!
The option to permanently unlock a Progression-locked item becomes available upon entering Prestige mode in Black Ops 6. This means completing Level 55 in the Progression tree.
Each Prestige level gives you 1 token that allows you to pick any 1 item in the Progression tree, be it a weapon or a powerful wildcard, and have it become useable at any level.
A total of 10 items can be permanently unlocked by Prestige 10. When you reach Prestige Master, all items in the Progression tree become permanently unlocked, requiring no further tokens.
Take note that Blueprints allow you to access Progression-locked weapons early once you have them – but only that version of the weapon. You will still have to progress to unlock the base weapon for customization.
Blueprints may be obtained through several ways such as completing Campaign missions or as part of paid store bundles.
Unlock and Level | Explanation |
---|---|
AS VAL
Assault Rifle Level 55 |
The AS VAL is the last weapon in the Progression tree and takes the longest time to unlock. It is also one of the best guns in the game, so having it early for quick kills and Camo grinds would be a good idea. |
Gunfighter Wildcard Level 33 |
Gunfighter is arguably the best Wildcard perk you can have in the game since it allows you to equip a total of 8 attachments on a gun. Having this permanently unlocked will give you an edge over opponents early on. |
Sleeper Agent Field Upgrade Level 51 |
Sleeper Agent is a very powerful Field Upgrade that allows you to disguise yourself as an enemy team member, virtually becoming visible to unsuspecting enemies unless they have Vigilance and other anti-Sleeper Agent equipment. |
ASG-89
Shotgun Level 31 |
After the AS VAL, the ASG-89 would be the next best gun to get. Not only is it great for small map-based game modes like Face Off Mosh Pit, it is also the best starting loadout weapon for Zombies Mode. |
Perk Greed Wildcard Level 54 |
Perk Greed is another powerful Perk to have after Gunfighter if you want an extra perk to take advantage of in Multiplayer. |
LR 7.62
Sniper Rifle Level 49 |
LR 7.62 is one of the best Sniper Rifles after the SVD and serves as the 3rd weapon choice for a permanent unlock after the ASG-89 and AS VAL. |
Mutant Injection Zombies Support Equipment Level 39 |
For those who play Zombies Mode regularly, the Mutant Injection is one of the best Support Equipment and permanently unlocking it will allow you to get the Mutant Injection early on in Zombies via the Crafting Table. |
Chopper Gunner Scorestreak and Zombies Equipment Level 45 |
The Chopper Gunner is a great Scorestreak to have when you rack up enough score in Multiplayer. But it is also one of the best Support Equipment for Zombies Mode as it allows you to take care of bosses easily, especially against them within hordes during exfil. |
HARP Scorestreak Level 42 |
HARP is great to have early on and is one of the most useful Scorestreaks in Multiplayer, allowing you to see both positional and directional information of enemies in realtime on the map. |
Aether Shroud Zombies Field Upgrade Level 47 |
The Aether Shroud Field Upgrade takes a while to get, so having it as a permanent unlock is a good choice if you want (or with your team with the Group Shroud augment) to become temporarily invisible to zombies. |
