How to Level Up Weapons Faster | Method Rating |
---|---|
▼ Boat Glitch Method | ★★★★★ (Terminus Only; May Get Patched) |
▼ Get Headshot Kills | ★★★★★ |
▼ Exfil for Bonus XP | ★★★★☆ |
▼ Rampage Inducer | ★★★★☆ (Increases Difficulty) |
▼ Avoid Nukes and Melee | ★★★☆☆ |
Detailed below are the steps for the boat glitch.
1 | Get to the Biolab on Terminus |
---|---|
Use your Essence to activate all the AMP Generators and get to the Biolab as early as possible. Do not spend your Essence on anything on the earlier rounds other than opening the AMP Generators and doors to the Biolab if you want to set up the XP farm fast. ▶ Terminus Interactive Map |

2 | Get a Melee Macchiato |
Once you have enough Essence, purchase a Melee Macchiato, and if you can, try to leave 500 extra Essence for the next step of the XP farm setup. If you find yourself being a few credits short, prone in front of the Perk Machines to get 100 Essence. |
|
3 | Block the Lower Area with Rafts |
If you have enough Essence, it is best to do this portion of the setup during the Parasite Round (and leave one Parasite) for an easier time. Alternatively, you could just leave one Zombie while trying to set this up. | |
4 | Get the Raft Out of the Water |
Go to the lowest level of the Biolab and get on the raft that is already there. Ram the raft towards the lab platform to get it out of the water and onto the platform. It might not work the first time, if so, back the raft up and ram it towards the platform again. |
|
5 | Block the Stairs First |
Once you manage to get the raft on the platform, melee it towards the stairs by the Ammo Cache until it completely blocks it. You have to block the stairs area first because blocking the opposite end first could potentially despawn one of the rafts if you try spawning a second one. Note: You need the Melee Macchiato for this to work, as the rafts will not move if you punch it without Melee Macchiato. |
|
6 | Block the Area by the Vehicle Vendor |
If you have 500 Essence to spare, spawn another raft and ram it towards the platform as you did earlier. From there, melee it towards the Vehicle Vendor to block the other end of the area. Note: This tends to be a bit finicky compared to the stairs area. Zombies can glitch through even though it is blocked. Once you see Zombies vibrating, this could be a sign that they will glitch through. You can adjust the raft between rounds until you find the sweet spot. |
|
7 | Farm Zombies Until Content |
With both areas blocked, you can clear one side and then head to the other to kill the rest of the zombies without worrying about them damaging you. The Wranglers usually spawn on the Vehicle Vendor side, so you can use the walls to hide from their cannon attacks. But be careful, as they can still spawn on the stairs side. Note: It might be a good idea to Exfil at Round 31, as Zombies will take a lot longer to kill beyond this point. |
Getting headshot kills are the best way to earn essence and XP fast, as opposed to just killing zombies with torso or limb shots. To be more efficient and getting headshots, it's recommended to get Deadshot Daiquiri.
Successfully completing an Exfil rewards you with Bonus XP that you won't get if you just die or leave the game. Any Essence that you still have will also be automatically converted to Bonus XP.
Exfil opportunities occur in Rounds 11, 16, 21, 26, and so forth (every 5 rounds after Round 10).
Zombies Exfil Rounds and Rewards
When the Rampage Inducer is active, zombies will move faster and spawn more frequently up until Round 20. This intensifies the early rounds, allowing experienced players to progress quickly if they can handle the added challenge.
If you want more XP to level up fast, you'll have to avoid nukes and melee kills. Nukes take out all the zombies in the area for only 400 XP, while melee kills (inclusive of knife kills) only grant you 105 XP.
