Mutant Injections can be dropped by Manglers upon elimination. These tough Special zombies, known for firing blast projectiles at players, appear on both Zombies maps starting at Round 11.
Killing a Mangler has a chance of rewarding you with a Mutant Injection.
How to Get Special and Elite Zombie Eliminations
Once you reach Player Level 39, you can purchase Mutant Injections from any Crafting Table for 2,500 Salvage. This allows you to obtain them reliably if you’re willing to spend a hefty amount of Salvage.
Using a Mutant Injection temporarily transforms you into a Mangler, increasing your height and covering you in protected, plated armor.
While in Mangler form, you can use the Mangler Cannon to fire blast projectiles and the Melee Swipe, which deals increased close-range damage. You’ll also gain the ability to run through zombies, clearing your path with ease.
