Unlocked at Level 20

The Dark Flare field upgrade becomes accessible once you reach Level 20. Upon reaching this level requirement, you can equip it in your Loadout under the Field Upgrade slot.

A Beam That Kills Zombies in a Line

The Dark Flare Field Upgrade unleashes a powerful energy beam that delivers devastating shadow damage, piercing through all zombies in a straight line.

Reduce Cooldown by Killing Zombies

The Dark Flare has a cooldown after each use, but killing zombies speeds up the recharge. You can monitor the cooldown timer on the bottom right of your screen, which is shown as a circular icon with a green meter above the weapon and lethal equipment icons.

Dark Flare Major and Minor Augments

Supernova	Major Augment	The beam is replaced with a sphere that damages nearby enemies as it travels. The ball detonates at the end of Dark Flare’s duration.
Extension	Major Augment	Significantly increase Dark Flare duration.
Dark Pact	Major Augment	Beam heals and revives other players on contact.
Heavy Shadow	Minor Augment	The beam slows enemies on contact.
Broad Beam	Minor Augment	Significantly increase the size of the beam.
