Call of Duty Black Ops 6 - Special and Elite Zombies
Players can get Special and Elite zombie kills by eliminating named zombies in in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 (BO6) Zombies. Read on to learn what Special and Elite Zombies are, when they spawn, and the easiest ways to take them down!

How to Get Special and Elite Zombie Eliminations

Tear Down the Mangler's Armor and Aim for the Exposed Area

BO6 Mangler View

Manglers appear on both Zombies maps starting from Round 11. These slow-moving Special zombies fire blast projectiles, so use cover to shield yourself from it.

Manglers can be taken down effectively by first tearing down their armor. Once exposed, shoot the vulnerable area to inflict extra damage. When part of its armor is broken, the Mangler will start chasing you, so stay on your toes.

Target the Abominations's Glowing Head

BO6 Abomination View

The Abomination spawns in Liberty Falls from Round 16 onwards. This three-headed Elite zombie fires a beam and charges aggressively. Aim for its glowing head to deal maximum damage, and quickly dodge when it prepares to charge at you.

BO6 Amalgam Elite

The Amalgam appears in Terminus beginning at Round 16. This large, Cronenberg-esque Elite zombie charges at players relentlessly. Target one of its heads with glowing eyes to temporarily stagger it, and be sure to seek cover when it attempts to grab you.

Special and Elite Zombies are tankier zombies that offer a combat challenge due to their unique attacks and mechanics. You can easily identify these zombies among the hordes as they have distinct appearances and the Horned Skull icon marking them on the minimap.
