This is a guide on the campaign difficulty differences in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (BO6). Learn about the different difficulty levels and how to change difficulty!
Difficulty | Description |
---|---|
Recruit | For players who are new to Call of Duty. |
Regular | Your abilities in combat will be tested. |
Hardened | Your skills will be strained. |
Veteran | You will not survive. |
The campaign of Black Ops 6 has 4 difficulty levels: Recruit, Regular, Hardened, and Veteran. Each difficulty affects enemy skills such as their accuracy and damage, as well as the maximum health pool that the player has.
Recruit is the easiest difficulty and is highly recommended for newcomers to the Call of Duty franchise. Players will find that they will take considerably less damage from enemy fire, perfect for those who wish to enjoy the campaign's story and want to unlock the rewards as soon as possible.
Regular is considered the normal difficulty and generally what the campaign is intended to be played in. There are a few challenges offered in this difficulty but nothing too hard that the casual FPS player cannot achieve.
Hardened difficulty provides more of a challenge intended for experienced players. It is here where players will start to notice their health depleting at a much faster rate as enemies often tend to hit harder than usual.
Veteran is where seasoned Call of Duty players can test their skills as the difficulty is greatly ramped up. Enemies will be more accurate and can deal a tremendous amount of damage, not to mention that players will also have a lower health pool.
It is not uncommon for players to constantly die and restart at checkpoints, as this difficulty setting is considered extremely challenging even for long-time players of the franchise.
The difficulty can be changed at any time during a campaign mission by opening the Pause Menu and selecting Change Difficulty.
Note that changing the difficulty during a mission will automatically disqualify you from obtaining any achievements or trophies associated with the difficulty.
