How to Get and Upgrade the Ice Staff

How to Get the Ice Staff

This is a guide on how to get the Ice Staff Wonder Weapon in the new map, The Tomb in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 (BO6) Zombies. Learn how to get the Ice Staff and how to upgrade the Ice Staff below!

How to Get the Ice Staff

1 Obtain the Monocle (Round 8)

Kill the Shock Mimic that will spawn on Round 8 and take the Monocle that drops from it.
2 Find the Archer Mural

Next, head to the Archer Mural which is located in the Neolithic Catacombs, near the Deadshot Daiquiri machine and a Crafting Table.
3 Light the Lantern Above the Archer Mural

Above the mural, you'll see an unlit lantern; your next move should be to light it up. Go around the map and look for a lantern with Purple Flames on it. Shoot that lantern to make the flames jump to a different lantern.

Do this until the purple flame finally moves to the lantern near the Archer Mural.
4 Shoot the Roman Numerals in Ascending Order

Roman Numerals should then spawn on the Archer Mural once the lantern next to it is lit up. Shoot the roman numerals in ascending order (1 to 10).
5 Defeat Waves of Zombies

An orb will pop out of the Archer Mural which will then initiate a lockdown where you'll have to defeat waves of zombies.
6 Pick Up the Headpiece

Once the horde has been dealt with, a Nuke will kill all zombies in the area. The Headpiece of the Staff of Ice will then spawn in front of the Archer Mural.
7 Go to the Tombs Area

After obtaining the Headpiece, head to the Tombs area located on the northern section of the map, where the Death Perception machine can also be found.
8 Light Up the Lantern Near the Bull Mural

Look for the Bull Mural on the wall; there should also be a lantern in front of it. If the lantern isn't lit up with purple flames, look for a different lantern with flames on it and shoot it until it jumps to the lantern in front of the mural.

This should then reveal Roman Numerals on the Bull Mural, similar to the Archer Mural earlier.
9 Shoot the Roman Numerals from 1-8

Shoot the Roman Numerals in ascending order (1 to 8). After that a Purple Orb will spawn, initiating another lockdown in the area where you'll need to fend off against a horde of zombies.
10 Kill All Zombies Spawned by the Orb

Prepare to defend yourself against waves of zombies, Armored Zombies, and Parasites. Kill everything until the orb returns back to the Bull Mural.
11 Obtain the Staff Piece

A white flash will appear on your screen, indicating the end of the wave defense. Go back to the Bull Mural and retrieve the Staff Piece in front of it.
12 Assemble the Staff of Ice

With all three pieces of the Staff of Ice, enter the Dark Aether Nexus and go to the large altar located at the center. Interact with the altar to deposit the Staff of Ice parts and prepare to defend it against endless waves of zombies.

The horde will attempt to destroy the Staff of Ice, so pay attention to its health bar displayed on the left of your screen. If its health drops to zero, you will need to redo this step in the next round. We highly recommend placing 1-2 Sentry Turrets to help ease up the defense.

How to Upgrade the Ice Staff

1 Shoot Three Lanterns with the Ice Staff

Look for three lit up lanterns that are within close vicinity of each other. You will have to shoot all three using the Staff of Ice within a short amount of time to complete this step.
2 Take Note of the Rune Symbols in Dark Aether Nexus

Go to the Dark Aether Nexus, look up into the sky, and locate three floating rocks with glowing purple symbols on them. Once you find them, shoot them with the Ice Staff to lower them down. Memorize or take a picture of these symbols for the next step. If you have done this correctly, Archibald will pop up again and talk.
3 Go To the Blocked Off Teleporter

Take note of the blocked off teleporter in the Dark Aether Nexus and teleport back to the real world using any of the teleporters. Head to the corresponding teleporter in the real world that was blocked off in the Dark Aether Nexus, and you will see rune symbols on it.
4 Shoot Symbols Found on the Floating Rocks

Shoot the three symbols you found on the floating rocks in the Dark Aether Nexus earlier. This does not have to be in any particular order.
5 Enter the Teleporter

Enter the teleporter that opened up after shooting the three symbols.
6 Wait for the Orb to Reach the Center

If you shot the three symbols correctly, you will be teleported on a rock and there will be a purple orb in front of you. Interact with it and you will have to follow it around until it reaches the altar at the center of the Dark Aether Nexus. You will get swarmed by Zombies during this step, so be ready.
7 Place the Staff in the Ruins in the Center

After waiting for the orb to reach the ruins in the center of the Dark Aether Nexus. Your screen will flash white, and from there, you can place the Ice Staff in the ruins in the center to upgrade it. It will be named Ull's Arrow once upgraded.
