Research Augments allows you to unlock Augments that you can use to upgrade your Loadout in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (BO6) Zombies. Read on to learn how to research Augments and which Augments to unlock for maximizing your Loadout's potential.

Earn XP by Using the Rampage Inducer

Researching Augments requires you to earn XP. You can get XP Fast by hopping into Liberty Falls or Terminus and then activating the Rampage Inducer as soon as you load in the map. This will increase the difficulty since it will cause Zombies to spawn in fast. If you can manage them, it will allow you to speed through the rounds and farm a lot of XP.
Upgrade Weapon as You Progress Rounds
Since Rounds will fly by fast, make sure to upgrade the Rarity and Pack-a-Punch Level of your weapon to ensure that you'll still be able to deal decent damage against the horde and progress the game quick.

Exfil at Round 21 for Bonus XP
At Round 21, it's time for you to exfil since the Rampage Inducer will no longer be in effect. Exfils grant bonus XP, which should definitely speed up the research time for your Augments.
Zombies Exfil Rounds and Rewards
Use Double XP Tokens for More XP
If you're having a difficult time with the Rampage Inducer method, you can simply use Double XP Tokens and just play a zombies match normally. Double XP Tokens doubles the amount of XP that you can earn and thus, speeding up the process of researching Augments.
Double XP Tokens can be obtained through the Battle Pass, Events and Promotions, or by purchasing Store Bundles.
Reach Player Level 11
You must first reach Player Level 11 to begin researching Augments. Once unlocked, go to the Research Augments menu and select the Perk, Ammo Mod, or Field Upgrade you’d like to research.

・Probiotic (Major) Slightly increase maximum health with Jugger-Nog. ・Hardened Plates (Minor) Armor plates have more damage mitigation. |
| 4th |  Quick Revive |
・EMT (Major) Reviving an ally allows them to keep all of the Perks on their bleed-out bar. ・Karmic Return (Minor) Reviving an ally heals you to full health. |
| 5th |  Speed Cola |
・Classic Formula (Major) Reload speed is significatly faster. ・Fast Pitcher (Minor) Deploy equipment faster. |
| 6th |  Healing Aura |
・ Persistence (Major) Revived players keep all Perks on their bleed-out bar. ・Protection (Minor) Healed players have damage slightly mitigated for a short time. |
The first three steps in this order emphasize Solo gameplay and self-sustainability by prioritizing Health and Stamina Augments. The latter steps then shift focus to Squad support by prioritizing buffs that improve your team's survivability.
Ammo Mods are not a priority, but you can research any Augment that you want once key Augments in Healing Aura are unlocked.
