Packet Burst Error

On-Demand Texture Streaming

The Packet Burst Error occurs when the flow of information is interrupted between your console or PC and the Black Ops 6 server. To alleviate the load, you can opt to set On-Demand Texture Streaming to Minimal by going to Settings > Graphics > Quality.

Connection Issues with Black Ops 6

If you're having trouble connecting when starting up Black Ops 6, make sure to check the status of the BO6 Servers. If they are up for your platform, your next step is to check if you have the following:

  • On Console: Check if you have access to online services via PS+ or Game Pass.
  • On PC and Console: Check if your platform has access to the internet. Test your network connection as needed.
  • On PC and Console: Restart your router if there is no internet connection.

Note: If you're using WiFi to play BO6 online, consider going for a wired connection via LAN cable since it offers a much more stable internet connection.

Black Ops 6 Beta is Crashing

Players struggling to launch Black Ops 6 due to crashes on startup or while playing can look to update their console or their video drivers (PC). Often, the cause of crashes will be an out-of-date system or an old video driver.

  • Playstation (PS5): If you get error code CE-34878-0 or the message An error has occurred..., simply restart the game to see if it fixes the issue. If the problem persists, try updating your system software by going to Settings > System > System Software.
  • Xbox: If you crash while playing, sometimes simply restarting the game will fix the problem. If it persists, make sure to check if your system software is updated. From the dashboard, go to Settings > System > Updates to check if an update is available.
  • PC: Similarly, if you find yourself crashing on PC, you can first try to verify your game files using Steam or Battle.Net launcher's native file checking option. If that doesn't solve your problems, make sure to update your graphic drivers: Nvidia, AMD, or Intel depending on your card.

Check Official Sources for Known Issues

The official Call of Duty X account (formerly Twitter) will usually announce info regarding ongoing bugs, errors, and server outages. Make sure to check out their tweets to see if there are any official solutions to your encountered issue in Black Ops 6.

The Activision Support website is also a good resource to check for documented problems since a lot of bugs tend to be shared across different titles (due to COD Home).

Restart the Game and Check for Updates

Restarting the game is a common but effective troubleshooting tip that could be the fix for some of the bugs, glitches, or issues you're currently dealing with. When restarting your game, make sure to check for updates before relaunching to ensure you're launching the most recent version of Black Ops 6.

Restart Your PC or Console

If restarting the Black Ops 6 doesn't fix your current issue, consider restarting your PC or console. Sometimes, issues like graphical glitches can be solved with a quick system restart.

Update Your PC or Console

If your PC or console's system software is outdated, you may experience more issues and bugs than other players. Make sure you have the latest PC operating system updates installed or the most recent system software update for your console.

Update Your Graphics Card Drivers

For PC players, outdated graphics drivers can cause many issues when playing Black Ops 6, such as game crashes, performance problems, and visual bugs. Keep your drivers updated from the official Nvidia, AMD, or Intel website to help prevent bugs and glitches from occurring on your device.
